Contest 171 Empowered women can make a better world

My dear Ladies it is a pleasure to share with you as every week, this time I am happy to address this issue of female empowerment, because our community is an example of constant dedication to achieve the strengthening of women's ability to act, make decisions and participate in society on equal terms with men, I thank my friend @purrix for the invitation to participate and I invite all of you friends to show your experiences in this long battle to be recognized and valued because throughout history, women have faced challenges in terms of access to education, economic opportunities, political participation and human rights. Empowerment seeks to fight against these inequalities and promote autonomy, gender equality and the integral development of women.

Women's empowerment encompasses social, cultural, political and economic aspects, which manifest themselves at both the personal and collective levels. First, at the individual level, empowerment implies that women should be able to make informed decisions about their lives, have control over their own bodies and sexuality, be given the same educational and employment opportunities as men, allowing them to develop their potential without being limited by stereotypes of any kind. Their right to reproductive health, protection against gender-based violence and access to resources for their well-being should be recognized.

In my country, progress has been made in the recognition of these rights and we see that women have a more active participation in decision making and in the defense of their rights in local, regional and national spaces, we have achieved the promotion of laws and equitable policies, such as equal opportunities, fair salaries, maternity laws that allow the couple to decide which of the two parents will take a year of paid leave to care for the baby.

However, our society is sexist and both women and men still maintain certain patterns that are ingrained in society and that threaten to achieve the equality for which we clamor so much.
That is why I feel the need that in every possible space to promote awareness of people in the proper valuation of women, this goes from education in our home, in relationships with all the people we have close to our community, at work and so on.

Encouraging them to believe in themselves, in their abilities and in their capacity to achieve their goals is fundamental to strengthen their self-esteem and confidence, to recognize their value and potential.
It is crucial that they question and challenge traditional gender roles, that they know that women have the right and the ability to choose their own path, whether in academic, work or personal terms, without limitations imposed by unfair social norms.

In short, young Ladies, education and information not only academic but also social, without neglecting their physical and emotional health is what will allow them to face all the challenges that lie ahead in the struggle for non-violence in any of its manifestations, that their voices are heard in all the tribunes and can contribute to the construction of a more just, inclusive and equitable societies for all people.

Mis queridas Ladies es todo un placer compartir como cada semana con ustedes, en esta oportunidad me siento feliz de tratar este tema del empoderamiento femenino, pues nuestra comunidad es ejemplo de dedicación constante a lograr el fortalecimiento de la capacidad de las mujeres para actuar, tomar decisiones y participar en la sociedad en igualdad de condiciones que los hombres, agradezco a mi amiga @purrix la invitación a participar y a todas ustedes amigas las convoco a mostrar sus experiencias en este largo batallar por ser reconocidas y valoradas pues a lo largo de la historia, las mujeres hemos enfrentado desafíos en términos de acceso a la educación, oportunidades económicas, participación política y derechos humanos. El empoderamiento busca luchar contra estas desigualdades y promover la autonomía, la igualdad de género y el desarrollo integral de las mujeres.

El empoderamiento de la mujer abarca aspectos sociales, culturales, políticos y económicos, que se manifiestan tanto en el plano personal como en el colectivo. En primer lugar, a nivel individual, el empoderamiento implica que las mujeres puedan tomar decisiones informadas sobre sus vidas, tengan control sobre su propio cuerpo y sexualidad, se les brinde las mismas oportunidades educativas y laborales que a los hombres, permitiendo que puedan desarrollar su potencial sin verse limitadas por estereotipos de ningún tipo. Se reconozca su derecho a la salud reproductiva,a la protección contra la violencia de género y el acceso a recursos para su bienestar.

En mi país se ha avanzado en el reconocimiento de estos derechos y vemos que las mujeres tienen una participación más activa en la toma de decisiones y en la defensa de sus derechos en espacios locales, regionales y nacionales, se ha logrado la promoción de leyes y políticas equitativas, como la igualdad de oportunidades, salarios justos las leyes de maternidad que permiten a la pareja decidir cuál de los dos padres se acogerá al año de licencia retribuida para cuidar al bebé.

Sin embargo nuestra sociedad es machista y tanto las mujeres como los hombres aún mantienen ciertos patrones que están arraigados en la sociedad y que atentan contra conseguir esa igualdad por la que tanto clamamos.
Es por eso que siento la necesidad de que en cada espacio que sea posible fomentar la conciencia de las personas en la adecuada valoración de la mujer, esto va desde la educación en nuestro hogar, en las relaciones con todas las personas que tenemos cercanas en nuestra comunidad, en el trabajo etc.

A las mujeres jóvenes pienso que debemos trasmitirles mensajes de confianza, Animarlas a creer en sí mismas, en sus habilidades y en su capacidad para alcanzar sus metas es fundamental para fortalecer su autoestima y confianza, que reconozcan su valor y potencial.
Es crucial que cuestionen y desafíen los roles tradicionales de género, que sepan que las mujeres tienen el derecho y la capacidad para elegir su propio camino, ya sea en términos académicos, laborales o personales, sin limitaciones impuestas por normas sociales injustas.

En fin jóvenes Ladies, la educación y la información no solo académica sino también social, sin descuidar su salud física y emocional es lo que va a permitir que puedan enfrentar todos los retos que tienen por delante en la lucha por la no violencia en cualquiera de sus manifestaciones, que sus voces sean escuchadas en todas las tribunas y puedan contribuir a la construcción de una sociedades más justas, inclusivas y equitativas para todas las personas.
