Happy day coffee lovers, today I want to share with you a visit to a Café that I have been wanting to visit for a while but for one reason or another it had been impossible for me, because this week my sister and I had to do some business near the place and we took the opportunity to visit it.

The café is called Las Cinco Esquinas (The Five Corners) because of its location, since the place is located in a very picturesque area of Old Havana, where several streets intersect and form the famous 5 corners.

The whole area is full of small cafés, which also use the outdoor areas, so the streets are lined with umbrellas that protect diners from the sun. Among all of them, Las 5 Esquinas is distinguished by the variety and quality of service, which makes the place always full of customers.

When we arrived, we were very suggestively attended by a young man who offered us a warm welcome and asked us where we wanted to sit, we immediately answered that we wanted to sit outside under the shade provided by the umbrellas.

From there we could contemplate the whole landscape which is really very cheerful and refreshing, because Old Havana is very lively and the street vendors with their hawkers are really nice.
As soon as we sat down, the waiter from that area approached us to take our order, the offers of the place are very varied, they have snacks as well as light meals and sweets, we were only going for a coffee but a typical sweet of the place caught our attention because its decoration made it very desirable.

While we were waiting I went inside the place and I loved the layout of the tables and the cheerful atmosphere, its decoration is simple but very typical, with bricks, pictures, flags and nice posters, which undoubtedly make you feel happy just to look at them and finally the music gives its final touch as it is contagious and at a very appropriate volume, not so loud that it is disturbing nor too low that you cannot distinguish the theme, generally this is not very usual in these establishments, as they opt for loud music, which at least to me makes me a little uncomfortable.

One of the things that impressed me pleasantly was how, despite the small size of the place, they set up the kitchen area so that diners could see how their food was prepared.

I approached the bar to take some pictures and appreciated the skill and fluency of the workers, I really liked their culinary art and hospitality, they showed me how they brewed my coffee.

I sat down to talk with my sister while I enjoyed my coffee and the sweet that happily was delicious, it was very creamy and smooth texture, we had an enviable time and for sure we will repeat the visit, because it is worth it.

Feliz día amantes del café, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una visita a un Café que desde hace un rato quería visitar pero que por una u otra razón me había resultado imposible, pues esta semana mi hermana y yo debíamos hacer algunas gestiones cerca del lugar y aprovechamos para visitarlo.

El café tiene por nombre Las Cinco Esquinas debido a su localización, pues el lugar está situado en un área de la Habana Vieja muy pintoresco, donde varias calles hacen intercepción y se conforma las famosas 5 Esquinas.

Toda la zona está colmada de pequeños café, que utilizan también las áreas exteriores, por lo que las calles se alegran con sombrillas que protegen a los comensales del sol. Entre todos ellos Las 5 Esquinas se distinguen por la variedad y calidad del servicio, lo que hace que el lugar siempre este lleno de clientes.

Al llegar nos atendió muy sugerentemente un joven que nos ofreció una cálida bienvenida y nos preguntó dónde deseamos sentarnos, inmediatamente respondimos que afuera bajo la sombra que nos brindaban las sombrillas.

Dese ahí podíamos contemplar todo el paisaje que realmente es muy alegre y refrescante, pues la Habana Vieja es muy movida y los vendedores ambulantes con sus pregones resultan verdaderamente simpáticos.
En cuanto nos sentamos se acercó el camarero de esa área a coger el pedido, las ofertas del lugar son muy variadas, tienen tanto snack como comidas ligeras y dulces, nosotros íbamos por un café solamente pero nos llamó mucho la atención un dulce típico del lugar pues a la vista su decoración lo hacía muy deseable.

Mientras esperábamos fui al interior del recinto y me encantó la disposición de sus mesas y el ambiente alegre que se respiraba, su decoración es sencilla pero muy típica, con ladrillos, cuadros, banderas y carteles simpáticos, que sin dudas provocan te sientas contenta solo de mirarlos y finalmente la música da su toque final pues es contagiosa y a un volumen muy apropiado, no alto que atormente ni muy bajo que no distingas el tema, generalmente esto no es muy usual en estos establecimientos, pues optan por una música alta, que al menos a mí me incomoda un poco.

Una de las cosas que me impresiono gratamente fue como a pesar de lo pequeño del lugar ellos habilitaron el área de la cocina de manera que los comensales podían ver como se elaboraban sus alimentos.

Me acerque a la barra para tomar algunas fotos y aprecie la habilidad y soltura de los trabajadores, me agrado mucho su arte culinaria y su hospitalidad, me mostraron como colaban mi café.

Me senté a conversar con mi hermana mientras me deleitaba con mi café y el dulce que felizmente resulto delicioso, pues era muy cremoso y de suave textura, pasamos un rato envidiable y de seguro vamos a repetir la visita, pues vale la pena.
