Congratulations on Your Trad-wedding @maxwellmarcusart

Last weekend ended in praise and jubilation after witnessing the big event of my onboarder @maxwellmarcusart.

It was indeed a joyous moment for him and the entire family as they all get to witnessed their own, taking this route of boldness and determination.

Maxwell, the great pen artist came to my state for his NYSC (Nigeria Youth Service Corps) program around 7 to 8 years ago, quite a long time. And to God be the glory, he served Nigeria in my state and last weekend, tied the knot traditionally with his lovely wife.

It is the Nigerian people’s culture that the groom must first settle the Union traditionally, before taking it further to either white wedding in church or wedding Fatiha done by the Muslims religion.

I want to take this time out to congratulate him specially for this great moves. We never saw this coming:) I thought it was going to be business as usual. I mean, most people who travel from far part of the country like South-south for their NYSC program, usually go back immediately to their place when they’re done, but Maxwell here seems to have put up everything set for himself in the best way.

We look forward for the church wedding where they’re gonna finally seal everything on the alter.

A brief recap of our the wedding ceremony took place.

It didn’t start early as scheduled but it ended well on time although, I couldn’t stay till the very end. I left when they’re almost done because of another function I had to carry in church.

We graced the occasion together with my guys @jaypat and @daverick.

We would have been more than that in number but had a very short time to send invitation to people for the show. We would have celebrated him more better but Hive price at the moment won’t let us do much.

We sat down among the little crowd formed up and ready for the party. We talked for almost an hour plus and decided to move way to a place nearby to take some pre-wedding pictures before the event commence “Hope you get my point”😅

Took few portraits to use in some editing and designs.

No nicer background so, we had to go with what we’ve got.

After the shots, we went back to our seats, sat for a while again before the bride walked in with family and friends.

Did I mention that was the first time uniting with Maxwell’s family after knowing him for more than 6 years? Yeah, that was the first time seeing his mum and younger brother. The elder brother, which I’ve seen sometime 3 years ago pulled up for his brother wedding too. Family traveled down to Nasarawa state all the way from the Southsouth region of the country to the middle belt “A journey almost like leaving the country lol”.

It was a very far journey but family is everything! They pulled up in their large crowd to support their own.

The groom was asked to dance into the floor together with friends and that was when I knew how talented of a dancer is Maxwell.

We danced majestically with him into the floor but Maxwell stole the whole show with his bride’s cultural dance. It was hell funny but very interesting as he represented!

Some good donations were made during the wedding by friends and well wishers. Virtually everyone that came seated on the high table showed their support to the latest bride and groom in town.

We didn’t stay longer after contributions before leaving. It was getting late and each among the three of us that went there together had another function to perform before the day runs out.

Thank You 💙
