The Best Character Trait For Me||HW104E1

Hello everyone, good day and welcome to my blog. This is my entry for Hive Learners weekly contest for week 104 edition one.

Several times I have heard different testimonies from different people about my parents, though there were bad sides of them that people talked about too, I focused my energy in reminiscing about the good deeds they've done and looking forward to being like them.

My parents will always tell me about their past and how they managed to sustain themselves up to the level we are currently seeing them. My father gave us a story of how he will carry a log of wood on his head to go and sell so he can get money not only for himself but for his younger ones' school fees and other needs. He told us how he sponsored himself in school and today he is reaping the fruit of his labor.

In all his stories, I saw strength and commitment, I saw courage and hard-work. All of his younger ones, “my uncles” will always testify about how my father took care of them from an early stage in life when they lost their parents at a younger age. They said my father shouldered their responsibilities as if he was their father and that always ginger and boosted my morale. Today I don't want to do less than what he has done, I want to do more than what he has done because he was indeed a great personality to be emulated. Apart from taking up responsibilities and making sure the family is always in a good state and condition, he extends his cheerful hearts to everyone in the society, his impact on the society was greatly felt.

I want to live that kind of lifestyle he left while alive, he was a hero though not to everyone but to most people that got to know him very well. I can't act low or do less than what my father did. I know I am following in his footsteps already because I am putting it to practice. I try to help whoever I can regardless of what I will be getting in return and that is already counting me some good accolades, I am not after the crowds but am after fulfilling what's in my heart and nothing more.

My mother is a rare gem, and has also done great things to people in the community. I remembered the story of a woman that had a very good relationship with my mum. When my mum wasn't alive anymore that woman still keeps to the powerful mutual relationship they've established with my mum before her demise. Every December she brings a big fowl to our house and she has been doing that for over 3 to 4 years now though I later went back to school and didn't know when she stopped bringing in the fowl for us. But the good thing is that the woman tried to love my mum even in her absence to still keep some of those rights they usually perform every end of the year.

I've got different news of the different act of kindness exhibited by my mum too and I hope to be like them. I want to be like them or even do more than they did. These are the traits I want to inherit from my parents, I'm sure little by little I will become the man I've always dreamt of becoming and definitely I will pass the same to my children..
