This is an entry for Afritunes community week 83 and for this week I bring to us a cover of "GODLY" by Omah Lay.
"Godly" is a song that looks more like a gospel but a circular song. I really love the song and the key at which the writer sang the song, it's one of my favorite keys and I love to sing and play on the key though not compare to the key of F.
I've presented this song sometimes back last year but I decided to score the Technical parts more this time around, I modified this particular piece and made it more special for you my friends. "Godly" by Omah Lay is a song that shows expressions of how he feels and how life is treating him so far.
He is thankful that God is around to guide and protect him of any danger that cometh before him. God is just and holy and he is trying to be holy and Godly like God but the thing that made his chorus look more worldly is the part he said "This is Why I Jaye Sometimes, a Little Henny and Ice". It's obvious that he enjoys with alcohol and other toxicants as his means of "Jayé". "Jayé" means enjoyment or enjoy life and if the song writer says he jayé with Hennessy and Ice and Hennessy is alcoholic which literally depicts the song to be Worldly not to talk about the stanzas of the song. Beside, he sang I've been drinking smoking cigar in one of his songs so this is so enough to connote the song as worldly.
Though the song is like that, I still find the song interesting to listen to. I hope you all find this piece impactful guys🙏🙏
