Whimsy, a nonsensical poem that somehow makes sense.

Gobbledeegoogle
could never make sense
of the massive boondoggle
on blockchain progress

A massive witness whimsy
makes for blasted expense
of time, effort and wordies
no time for a blintz

Or cleaning out toe jam
in bathroom or bed,
no time for a roe glam
black, orange or red

Potaytoe Potahtoe
where do I live?
Where are my loyalties
and who are my friends?

"Kasha!" she cried
alone in her thoughts
no one cared
what she put in her trots

"It's a trap" she mused
as she gathered her things
"go forth and prosper
but don't wish for wings"

This is my entry to @rycharde's fourth nonsense writing contest. Check it out!!! Those MAXUV tokens are no joke!

It is also my entry to @marianne's daily freewrite challenge, for which today's prompt is toe jam.

Both of these "contests" make me very happy. Freewriting is liberating, but weirdly (for me at least - others seem to have no problem with this) adds a constraint; I find it easier to freewrite something that makes perfect sense, than to freewrite something that does not.

Thanks. I like it now, but while I was writing it I thought "this will never fly."

I already guessed it's a nonsense entry. Good to see you back.

Can you explain the prompt to me?

Happy Friday. 💕

I didn't see a prompt. What prompt? I guess I made up a new rule (which is allowed) that you don't have to respond to the prompt. Are you talking about the picture of the guy with his back turned to us?

I meant the freewrite prompt "toe jam" but I already found out it's meaning. I read your post while I followed the tag of the freewriters. I thought you joined two contests with one post.
Sorry for the confusion?. 💕

lol, I did join two contests at once! toe jam hahaha. I once went to a dance concert where the dancer very laboriously cleaned her toe jam, first one foot then the other, right there on the stage as part of the dance piece. I will never forget that.

@owasco I wonder how the public responded at it. At least one taboo less. It's good to have a good laugh at times. He'll weekend and sorry for my late answer. 💕

@owasco Hello friend, I found the first word very nice, I had never imagined that it could exist, it should be included in the Oxford Dictionary. Receive my affections.

lol, so glad you referenced it!
Maybe I'll get into the OED.

Gobbledegoogle (n.) an attempt to translate that goes horribly wrong.
(v.) to use Google translate knowing it's going to be garbage but sometimes worth the giggle.

This is a cross post of @uwelang/communities-series-thoughts-and-mainly-questions-edition-1-tribes by @marketinggeek.

Valid question on whether Hivemind communities kill all existing Tribes? Thoughts?

Thanks! I'm still contemplating leaving this place. Maybe they can talk me back from the ledge. All the work I have done here, but the curators still mostly ignore me, the malevolent forces have now harmed me, the bickering among the communities is stressing me out, and figuring out the changes has sucked up my life. Why do I need this?

I can't answer "Why do you need this," and I can't abide the way you're getting the short end of the stick. Can I talk you back from the ledge? Can I explain why I myself am still here? There are people here that I like. You, for starters! And I'm here for the people who've been good to each other. The politics, upvotes, downvotes, challenges, community loyalties - just flotsam and jetsam floating past me as I ride the current. Have I helped you decide? If you leave here, I'll still be here, but I'll continue following you wherever else you may go. Meanwhile, maybe if you just put forth less effort here, you'll feel less like there's no reward? "No good deed goes unpunished," so do fewer good deeds? I'm a slouch. I make no effort to compete, rise to the top, conquer, prevail. Just to stay afloat is my m.o., and I repeat, I am a slouch. So, there's that... Don't try too hard is my awful motto. And stick around but keep a low profile. Hang in there!!!

Thank you!
I'm working on a post that will either make or break me here. We'll see. I came here for kindness and have received an awful lot of that, especially yesterday, but I can not support some of the general trends going on. It's becoming too dog-eat-dog for me.

Is anyone else rushing here to talk you down from the ledge?
In my experience, nobody does that - you wanna go, you go. Next?
Not to feel disposable, I learned not to feel as much, period.
@raj808 has a lot of information in a post I'd missed earlier:

Justin Sun's steemit.inc account @justinsunsteemit posted this open letter:

Hello Steem Community!
With so much happening in Steem right out the gates for me and everyone at Tron and Steemit Inc, such as the launch of Communities and a soft fork 22.2 we weren’t expecting, I feel it is important to show you guys I am here and ready to begin building with you. Our team, the Tron folks and Steemit Inc together, are an amazing group of talented people and they are working hard behind the scenes to get our plans together after the acquisition process, which always leaves some open ended questions. It is my plan now to make sure we begin communicating with the Steem community and make sure we are a positive force in making Steem and Steemit 2.0 great.

You're the only one who knows. A BUNCH of people came to my rescue though, and some upvotes on Raptor are still coming in. But I'm afraid to post anything now, I'm afraid the big bad bully will just do it again.
Thanks for the link. I tagged him in one relevant post, but of course no one from the likes of him bothered to read it. I don't have enough skin in this game to bother their caring about.

I tagged justin sun with a question in one post(you already saw it) last week which I wrote after reading his open letter, but he hasn't gotten back to me yet.
If we didn't feel like we had to fly under that radar, we'd be read more. Or would we?

I've kinda/sorta abandoned hope of being widely read.
But hope springs eternal, and if anything could shut me up, I wouldn't be a writer. I hope you never give up either!

Well, I thought this was a masterful poetic exercise in nonsense writing. Sounds like a paradox I know... but I love the way you weave the words and images here.

I don't know how to help with that infusion of enthusiasm for steem, I've been where you are many times with feelings of dissatisfaction and unsure if I have any audience.

If you post a poem in The Ink Well I promise I will read, comment and appreciate it. And most probably curate it too. This is my small effort to try and alleviate that steem malaise that we all go through at one point or another.

Much love xx

Thank you @raj808. I appreciate that very much.
I am really struggling today. How does one choose a community to post in? My solution has been to post even more so that I could spread my love around, essentially chaining me to my computer. If I tag the ink well will it appear to you, or must I use theinkwell first or post directly to it? I'll pop a poem in there soon.
Today I am working on a diatribe of my gripes which hopefully will not incur more wrath from an overlord.

I sure wish I had posted Raptor in the ink well, because that one is curie worthy big time.
