As you may have guessed from the opening sentence and cover photo, today I'm going to talk about poker.

I've already said in the past that it's a great passion of mine, obviously between a game of poker and football, the latter would always win.

Precisely in this post I would like to explain a little how it is possible to earn constantly with this game; I know that this cost is unthinkable to most since they see poker simply as a game of chance.

In reality, there are various ways to earn and also good, here we will see three of them, focusing mainly on what worked for me.

The first, which is also the most obvious, is to be a winning player and earn from pure profit; there are many good players, naturally as in any sport there are champions who earn a lot and normal players who are not doing badly anyway.

If you're wondering yes, I see poker as a sport.

The second method doesn't even require you to play, it's to be an agent; practically it is a bit like the PR of the Poker room, the players are convinced to sign up under their own agent account and you earn a percentage of their play.

Once a good network has been created, this can become a totally passive method of earning, of course initially there is a lot of work to do; it is certainly not easy and it is not easy to earn like in the past but, even today, it can be a fairly profitable job.

Last way, which is the one I prefer is to take advantage of the Rake, in fact in the past players like me called them Rakeback Pro (actually I think that even today they are called that).

Let's give some basic notions: what is Rake?
It is nothing but the tax we pay to the casino; Did you know that for every game played (if we're talking about cash games, even for every hand played) you pay a fee, right?

This is also useful to understand how whoever says that gambling halls are rigged please one player rather than another is "on the way to the fish"; The sites earn on all players without distinction and have no interest in making a particular person win.

Still speaking of tax, it is important to know that we pay nothing to the state on what we win because, precisely by withholding the rake, our game is taxed at source; of course this is true if we play on sites authorized by the Italian state and branded AAMS.

Let's get back to us, let's take the example of Sit&Gos (these are games in which you pay a subscription with which you create a prize pool, for example in games with 9 players the first three win the prize), in one of these games with registration of 10 euros, 9 will go into the jackpot one instead the gambling house will keep it.

Well, I earn on that single euro; with practically all the sites I have agreements that guarantee me a return on the taxes paid.

For my current poker adventure I got a fixed 41% deal plus any rankings and promotions (practically I should easily get to 50%).

It is important to understand that a player who does this for a living can even play 200 games in a working day, in the good old days I played more than 300 (consider that "I started at least 12 tables at the same time).

Let's do some math now, let's take a good player who manages to play 250 games a day and who got a good deal of 45% from the house (consider that in the past, when online poker was on the rise, my deal of back started at 60% and could go up with the rankings but, currently even 40% is great), let's say this person plays 6 days a week and rests one day.

Approaching the game as a job is important if you want to earn money, therefore, you need to play at least 6/8 hours a day constantly but rest is also essential.

250 €10 games generate €250 in taxes, multiplied by the 24 monthly working days that make €6000 in Rake, the player will get 45% back which is equivalent to €2700.

You will therefore understand that a mediocre player who wins zero and loses zero at the end of the month is earning 2700 euros; let's also assume that this player is not mediocre but a loser and has left 1,000 euros on the table at the end of the month, however, he will have earned 1,700 euros.

All in all it's not bad considering that I earned that money in my last job in 4 months.

Of course, this little game is a passion for me, I've always approached it as a sport, but also in a very professional way and being extremely competitive, I've never accepted being a loser or equal; I certainly can't define myself as a champion but I'm a player who in any case also brings out pure income from winnings from the tables.

In the example above, let's say we are decent players who take home a profit of 800 euros (and I assure you that out of 6,000 games a month which equals 72,000 games in a year, it's very feasible) at the end of the month we will have earned 3,500 euros. I would say ... not bad!

We have done some clarity and revealed some things about the world of poker that not everyone knows; but I still want to give you a few more little "open secrets".

To be successful players you need to study and apply yourself a lot and, of course, play a lot; as in everything experience is fundamental, in the long run some game situations will be automated.

The basic math behind the game is important, calculating the odds of winning or losing and placing bets that have positive expectation in the long run is crucial; all the players who do it for a living are equipped with a tracker program which collects a series of information which, while we are on the table, makes us visible.

what you see in the cover image is an example, but today we are at the most advanced version since that photo is from 2016.

It's nothing illegal, simply, from the statistics we get we can understand for example how aggressive a player is, how many hands he plays, how many times he raises and a thousand other useful info; moreover this program collects all our data that we need later for the study, it is in fact an obligation, for those who approach Poker as a job, to review and study all their plays to understand the mistakes made.

Obviously these aren't secrets, but they are things that not everyone knows and perhaps, for this very reason, they see poker as a game of chance; I, on the other hand, see it as a skill game which, unlike others, for example chess, is not a solved game therefore you have to rely on incomplete information which, mixed with statistics, experience and sometimes even intuition lead to winning consistently... obviously although luck doesn't exist in the long run, when we're in the short term, some good ass kicking never hurts eh eh!

Come avrai intuito dalla frase di apertura e dalla foto di copertina, oggi parlerò di poker.

Ho già detto in passato che è una mia grande passione, ovviamente tra una partita di poker e una di calcio vincerebbe sempre quest'ultima.

Precisamente in questo post mi va di spiegare un po' come è possibile guadagnare in maniera costante con questo gioco; so che questa costa è impensabile ai più visto che vedono il Poker semplicemente come un gioco d'azzardo.

In realtà i modi per guadagnarci e anche bene sono vari, qui ne vedremo tre, soffermandoci principalmente su quello che ha funzionato per me.

Il primo, che è anche quello più scontato, è essere dei giocatori vincenti e guadagnare dal profitto puro; ci sono tanti bravi player, naturalmente come in ogni sport sistono i campioni che guadagnano tantissimo e dei giocatori normali che comunque male non se la passano.

Se Te lo stai chiedendo si, io vedo il poker alla stregua di uno sport.

Il secondo metodo addirittura non richiede nemmeno di giocare, consiste nel fare l'agente; praticamente si è un po' come i PR delle Poker room, si convincono i giocatori ad iscriversi sotto il proprio conto agente e si guadagna una percentuale sul loro giocato.

Una volta creata una buona rete questo può diventare un metodo di guadagno totalmente passivo, certo inizialmente c'è un bel lavoro da fare; sicuramente non è semplice e non si guadagna come il passato ma, ancora oggi, può essere un lavoro abbastanza redditizio.

Ultimo modo, che è quello che preferisco è quello di sfruttare la Rake, infatti in passato i giocatori come me li chiamavano Rakeback Pro (in realtà mi sa che anche oggi vengono chiamati così).

Diamo un po'di nozioni basi: cosa è la Rake?
Non è altro che la tassa che paghiamo alla casa da gioco; sapevi che per ogni partirà giocata (se parliamo di cash game, addirittura per ogni mano giocata) si paga una tassa, vero?

Questo è utile anche per capire come chi dica che le sale da gioco sono truccate per favore un giocatori piuttosto che un altro sia "sulla via del fish"; I siti guadagno su tutti i giocatori indistintamente e non hanno interessi a far vincere una persona in particolare.

Sempre parlando di tassa è importante sapere che su ciò che vinciamo non paghiamo nulla allo stato poiché, proprio trattenendo la rake, il nostro gioco viene tassato alla fonte; naturalmente questo è vero se giochiamo su siti autorizzati dallo stato italiano e marchiati AAMS.

Torniamo a noi, facciamo l'esempio dei Sit&Go (sono delle partite in cui si paga un'iscrizione con la quale si crea un montepremi, ad esempio nelle partite con 9 giocatori vanno a premio i primi tre), in uno di questi giochi con iscrizione da 10 euro, 9 andranno nel montepremi uno invece lo tratterrà la casa da gioco.

Ecco, io guadagno su quel singolo euro; praticamente con tutti i siti ho degli accordi che mi garantiscono un ritorno sulle tasse pagate.

Per la mia attuale avventura pokeristica ho strappato un deal del 41% fisso più eventuali classifiche e promozioni (praticamente dovrei arrivare agevolmente ad un 50%).

È importante capire che, un giocatore che fa questo per vivere, in una giornata lavorativa arriva a giocare anche 200 game, io ai tempi belli ne facevo più di 300 (considera che "avviavo minimo 12 tavoli contemporaneamente).

Facciamo ora un po' di conti, prendiamo un giocatore bravo che riesce a giocare 250 partite al giorno e che ha strappato alla casa un buon deal del 45% (considera che in passato, quando il poker online era in auge, il mio deal di back partiva dal 60% e poteva salire con le classifiche ma, attualmente anche un 40% è ottimo), diciamo che questa persona giochi 6 giorni a settimana e uno riposi.

E' importante se ci si vuole guadagnare approcciarsi al gioco come un lavoro pertanto, è necessario giocare con costanza almeno 6/8 ore al giorno ma alla stessa maniera è fondamentale il riposo.

250 game da 10 euro generano €250 di tasse, moltiplicato i 24 giorni lavorativi mensili fa €6000 di Rake, il giocatore ne avrà indietro il 45% che equivale a €2700.

Capirai quindi che, un giocatore mediocre, che a fine mese vince zero e perde zero, sta guadagnando 2700 euro; poniamo anche che questo giocatore non sia mediocre ma perdente e abbia lasciato sul tavolo 1000 euro alla fine comunque nel mese avrà guadagnato 1700 euro.

Tutto sommato non è male considerando che quei soldi, nel mio ultimo lavoro, li guadagnavo in 4 mesi.

Naturalmente questo giochino è per me passione, mi ci sono sempre approcciato come uno sport, ma anche in maniera molto professionale ed essendo estremamente competitivo non ho mai accettato ne di essere perdente ne di fare pari; non posso certo definirmi un campione ma sono un player che comunque dai tavoli tira fuori anche del guadagno puro derivante dalle vincite.

Nell'esempio di prima, poniamo di essere dei discreti giocatori che portano a casa un profitto di 800 euro (e Ti assicuro che su 6000 giochi al mese che equivalgono a 72000 giochi in un anno è fattibilissimo) a fine mese avremo guadagnato 3500 euro, mi verrebbe da dire... non malissimo!

Abbiamo fatto un po' di chiarezza e svelato alcune cose del mondo del Poker che non tutti conoscono; ma voglio ancora regalarti qualche altro piccolo "segreto di Pulcinella".

Per essere giocatori vincenti bisogna studiare ed applicarsi molto e, ovviamente, giocare tantissimo; come in ogni cosa l'esperienza è fondamentale, alla lunga alcune situazioni di gioco verranno automatizzate.

La matematica di base dietro al gioco è importante, calcolare le probabilità di vittoria o sconfitta e piazzare delle scommesse che hanno aspettativa positiva nel lungo periodo è fondamentale; tutti i giocatori che lo fanno per mestiere sono muniti di un programma traker che raccoglie una serie di informazioni che, mentre siamo sul tavolo, ci rende visibili.

quello che si vede nell'immagine di copertina è un esempio, oggi però siamo alla versione più evoluta visto che quella foto è del 2016.

Non è nulla di illegale, semplicemente, dalle statistiche che otteniamo possiamo capire ad esempio quanto un giocatore è aggressivo, quante mani gioca, quante volte rilancia e mille altre utili info; inoltre questo programma raccoglie tutti i nostri dati che ci servono in seguito per lo studio, è infatti obbligo, per chi si approccia al Poker come ad un lavoro, rivedere e studiare tutte le proprie giocate per capire gli errori fatti.

Questi ovviamente non sono segreti, però sono cose che non tutti conoscono e forse, proprio per questo, vedono nel Poker un gioco d'azzardo; io invece lo vedo come uno skill games che a differenza di altri, ad esempio degli scacchi, non è un gioco risolto pertanto bisogna basarsi su informazioni incomplete che, mescolate a statistica, esperienza e a volte anche intuito portano a vincere con costanza... ovviamente per quanto la fortuna non esista nel lungo periodo, quando siamo nel breve qualche bella botta di culo non guasta mai eh eh!
