This is for many reasons, for example with regards to expenses, all in all thanks to the Italian healthcare system we have had access to medical excellence without breaking the bank, certainly there are costs but they are certainly much lower than perhaps a clinic in the USA , to give an example (naturally excluding the various insurances, it is also true that here at "Bambin Gesù" they treat all children without having to meet any requirements, in the United States, if there is no insurance, you can die if you are an adult or a child) .

Often you don't make a home with this thing but you should; think about how much the lives of each of us would be different if we had been born in places where hospitals are a luxury just as it is rare to be able to combine lunch with dinner and perhaps we feel lucky to have to travel only a few kilometers to get the 'waterfall.

Everything would be different, everything would certainly be more difficult and probably everything would be more appreciated, even the little things to which we now give very little value.

Certainly in life it takes a lot of effort to become the best version of oneself, but in the same way luck, as some call it, also plays an important role.

I prefer to call it fate, not believing in luck.

You can work hard and even go beyond the limit but sometimes it's simply not enough.

Of course this doesn't justify not always giving the best of yourself.

Oggi siamo in Ospedale per alcuni vaccini di Samuele.

inutile dire che le sale d'attesa di questo posto mi portano inevitabilmente a riflettere.

Per quanto il mio paese abbia parecchi problemi che, tra le altre cose si ingigantiscono se vivi al sud, ci sono tanti altri posti dove si sta molto peggio.

Certo è innegabile che comunque anche noi per le cure di Samuele ci siamo dovuti trasferire temporaneamente a Roma però è anche vero che a fronte di distanze irrisorie la struttura che ci accoglie è una delle eccellenze mondiali.
Se ci pensi Roma in fondo si trova al centro dell'Italia; è anche vero che i fattori di culo che sono intervenuti in questa situazione sono due, il fatto che Roma non sia distante e che qui ci sia il "Bambin Gesù" che è un'eccellenza mondiale e il fatto che noi ci siamo potuti fino a ora permettere di vivere qui e di pagare tutte le spese che bisognava sostenere.

Penso spesso che, nonostante tutte le difficoltà che stiamo passando, siamo stati fortunati a nascere dalla parte giusta del mondo.
Questo per tanti motivi, ad esempio per quel che riguarda le spese, tutto sommato grazia al sistema sanitario italiani abbiamo avuto accesso a un'eccellenza medica senza svenarci, certo i costi ci sono ma sono sicuramente molto più contenuti rispetto magari a una clinica degli USA, per fare un esempio (naturalmente al netto delle varie assicurazioni, è anche vero che qui al "Bambin Gesù" curano tutti bambini senza che debbano avere dei requisiti, negli stati uniti adulto o bambino se l'assicurazione non c'è puoi morire).

Spesso a questa cosa non ci si fa casa ma invece si dovrebbe; pensa a quanto le vite di ognuno di noi sarebbero diverse se fossimo nati in posti dove gli ospedali sono un lusso così come è cosa rara riuscire ad accoppiare il pranzo con la cena e magari ci si sente fortunati a dover fare solo pochi chilometri per prendere l'acqua.

Tutto sarebbe diverso, tutto sarebbe sicuramente più difficile e probabilmente tutto sarebbe più apprezzato, anche le piccole cose alle quali ora diamo davvero pochissimo valore.

Sicuramente nella vita per diventare la versione migliore di se stessi ci vuole tanto impegno, alla stessa maniera però anche la fortuna, come qualcuno la chiama, gioca un ruolo importante.

Io preferisco chiamarlo destino, non credendo alla fortuna.

Ci si può impegnare al massimo e superare anche il limite ma, semplicemente, a volte non basta.

Naturalmente questo non giustifica a non dare sempre il meglio di sé stessi.

Questa riflessione serve a me da monito; devo sempre dare tutto quel che ho per raggiungere l'obiettivo che mi sono prefissato perché ho la fortuna di trovarmi nelle migliori condizioni affinché questo avvenga.

Inoltre devo sempre ringraziare per quello che ho e apprezzare anche le piccole cose che poi, in realtà, tanto piccole non sono.
