Lazing around a bit...

“Dogs are our link to heaven. They know no evil nor jealousy nor discontent. Sitting on a slope with a dog on a beautiful afternoon is like returning to the Garden of Eden where lounging wasn't boring: it was peace.

MILAN KUNDERA

Weekends are always very relaxing; especially since I started the new job, I have plenty of time to enjoy them to the fullest.

Just yesterday, before going to sleep, I was reflecting a bit on how important free time is; the time of rest.

I am a lover of relaxation!

Nowadays we always go in a hurry, in a hurry; there is always a lot of time to devote to work, but one never dwells on how important rest and leisure are too.
Dedicating time to family and loved ones is one of the most important things you can do in life and you need to be able to carve out the right spaces.

Yesterday we spent a nice evening with friends, a pizza, a beer and a chat with friends, what could be better?

Today instead we thought of dedicating the whole Sunday to idleness; as you know I am a person who loves productivity but I believe that, without exaggerating, once in a while sitting around doing nothing is curative.

They say that idleness is the father of vices and, I believe, that it is honestly true because it takes a moment to get carried away and then you find yourself in the spiral of infinite sweet doing nothing.

Another thing that in my opinion in today's life is really becoming excessive is speed, we run left and right without a moment's respite; sometimes a little slowness would be good, in certain moments it's not even a matter of going slowly but just at the right speed.

Heart attacks and various diseases are on the increase and there will certainly be many scientific reasons, but I believe that one of the components is stress which, nowadays, has truly reached extreme levels, at any moment and at any hour without leaving a moment of truce.

I believe it is necessary to adopt all possible countermoves to fight and defeat stress.

There are many ways to do this.

There are so many responsibilities in life, but we must never forget that our health and well-being are also our responsibility.
We take care of work, bills, accounts and a thousand other things that are certainly very important, but our health is also important and, to preserve it, it is necessary to take the right time on all occasions.

Among other things, many think that the time dedicated to leisure is simply wasted time but it is not so, there are many constructive hobbies and, in addition to making us distracted and relaxed, they can help us learn new skills or keep us fit.

In all of this I still haven't talked about fun.

I believe that in everything I've talked about so far the fun is inherent; it must be said that having fun is an art to be learned and put into practice.

Of course we are talking about something very subjective, needless to say that what is fun for one could be highly boring for another.
The art lies precisely in knowing how to find what is fun for us, obviously something that is not harmful; I see many young people today who say they enjoy drinking gallons of alcohol and I really don't understand what's funny about smashing their livers.
Don't get me wrong, I also drink a good glass of wine or a nice beer from time to time and probably enjoy it too, probably precisely because I don't indulge in excesses and exaggerations and by rarely drinking when it happens I appreciate the experience completely.

Along the lines of the example of alcohol many others could follow but, I think, it is useless to dwell; in the end there is always balance at the base of everything.
As I always say: in media stat virtus!

Well I think at this point it's time to say goodbye, I don't want to dwell too much.
Of course, I thank you for coming this far and I invite you to express your every idea and thought in the comments.
I'm back to my Netflix and my idleness!

Hug you!

I was just talking to my wife today that she struggles to be present. It doesn't matter what we might be doing, she will always have her mind on something else. For example, we were walking on the lake today with Smallsteps to a little area where they make sausages and coffee. We took our own hot chocolate too. Yet, while we were walking, she started talking about bills.

On a side note. I took a lot of pictures of the trip, handed my camera to my wife, nearly all of them got deleted...

Eh as for the side note it happens to me... the only solution is not to show them to him eh eh!

Unfortunately I think it's something to impose, at least one day a week you have to detach your brain from everyone and focus on family, relaxation and yourself.

Sadeti hot chocolate at the lake, what a dream!
