It had been over a week since I last entered the studio.

I've really struggled today as well, and I won't deny it, tears fill my eyes from time to time, but I have to gather strength.

I had thought of writing a post with some reflections that today's day brought me, but I'll probably do it tomorrow. I'm facing some difficulties, and it wouldn't be easy to write such a post with teary eyes throughout the writing process, so I prefer to postpone it.

Instead, today I will dedicate myself to something lighter, and luckily, the good @mypathtofire and the Ecency post come to my rescue.
I have talked about my favorite place before, but this seems like another opportunity to talk about those places.

I don't have many photos, but the ones I found should be enough.

One of the cities I prefer and love is also one of the places where I have lived, and it's called Piombino. Naturally, it is located in Tuscany, my favorite region, specifically in the province of Livorno, so we're talking about a seaside city.

There are many things I love about this city, but above all, the main one is that many of my dearest friends live there. Of course, we shouldn't overlook the fact that there is the sea. After all, I was also born in a seaside city, so as much as I prefer the mountains, I occasionally need to feel the salty air and enjoy the sound of the waves.

There are plenty of things to do in Piombino, and the city is definitely more lively during the summer. But even in winter, especially with a good group of friends, you can have fun. There are many bars downtown, and we often went there with friends for an aperitif in the evening, which could easily replace dinner. It not only saved you from cooking but also gave you an opportunity to spend time together, as you can see from the picture...

Piombino also has a cinema, or actually, there are two, and both of them also function as theaters. In the main one, they often hold beautiful concerts during the winter. In the photo, you can see one of those occasions where we were with Irene Grandi, a famous Italian singer. We had just finished listening to her concert...

During the summer, apart from going out at night and visiting local venues, you spend your days at the beach! On days off from work, you can spend the entire day there and then return in the evening, take a quick shower, and go out again for a stroll downtown.

My favorite place in all of Piombino is definitely Piazza Bovio, as you can see from this photo I found on the internet. The uniqueness of this place is that it has the shape of Italy...

Of course, this uniqueness goes hand in hand with breathtaking views that not only showcase a fantastic sea but also reveal the island of Elba in the distance. When viewed from that tower, which they call the "Tower of Lovers" in Piombino, on certain days, it seems very close, similar to what happens in the Strait of Messina when there's a Fata Morgana phenomenon...

As for restaurants and places to eat, I don't have a favorite one. There are many that I like, and naturally, all of them serve seafood. I remember that when I lived there, with just 5 euros, you could have a huge fish fry, all fresh ingredients, by the way. After all, in places like Piombino, fish is truly abundant.

I saved the most beautiful photo for the cover; it's the one where I am with my friends, and we are setting up an Avis stand. When I lived there, I was also part of Avis Giovani in Piombino.
On that occasion, we set up our gazebo right under the walls of Piombino Castle.

Well, I think I can stop here for today, also because, I confess, despite being distracted by writing about something light and enjoying reminiscing about the times I lived in Piombino, my mind wanders for now, and sadness comes and goes, but I believe it's how it should be.
Thanks again to dear @mypathtofire for the opportunity he gave me. It may seem small, but I managed to distract myself a bit and returned to writing in the studio, which I hadn't done since the day before my departure for Rimini.

Era da più di una settimana che non entravo nello studio.

Ho fatto davvero fatica anche oggi e, non Ti nego, ogni tanto gli occhi mi riempiono di lacrime ma devo farmi forza.

Avevo pensato di scrivere un post con alcune riflessioni che la giornata di oggi mi ha portato ma, probabilmente, lo farò domani; ho un po' di difficoltà e non sarebbe semplice scrivere un post del genere con gli occhi gonfi di lacrime per tutto il tempo di scrittura quindi, preferisco rimandarlo.

Per oggi invece mi dedicherò a qualcosa di più leggero e, in questo, per fortuna mi viene in soccorso il buon @mypathtofire e il post di Ecency.
Ho già parlato altre volte del mio posto del cuore ma, questa, credo sia un ulteriore occasione per parlare di quei posti.

Non ho tantissime foto, ma basteranno quelle che ho trovato.

Una delle città che preferisco e amo, è anche uno dei posti in cui ho abitato e si chiama Piombino; naturalmente si trova in Toscana, la mia regione preferita, più precisamente è in provincia di Livorno, parliamo quindi di città di mare.

Le cose che amo di questa città sono parecchie, su tutte, la principale è che ci vivono tantissimi dei miei amici più cari; ovviamente non va sottovalutato il fatto che ci sia il mare, sono pur sempre nato anche io in una città marittima quindi, per quanto preferisca la montagna, ogni tanto devo sentire un po' di aria salmastra e godere del rumore delle onde.

Le cose da fare a Piombino sono davvero tante, sicuramente durante l'estate la città è molto più viva; anche in inverno però, soprattutto con una bella comitiva di amici, ci si può divertire.
al centro ci sono tanti locali, spesso andavamo con gli amici a farci l'aperitivo la sera che sostituiva egregiamente una cena quindi oltre a non dover cucinare Ti dava occasione di passare del tempo in compagnia, come puoi vedere dall'immagine...

a Piombino c'è anche il cinema anzi, in realtà, ce ne sono due ed entrambi funzionano anche come teatri; in quello principale poi capita spesso che durante l'inverno facciano dei bellissimi concerti, in foto vedi proprio una di quelle occasioni, siamo insieme ad Irene Grandi una famosa cantante italiana, avevamo appena terminato di ascoltare il suo concerto....

In estate ovviamente oltre ad uscire la sera ed andare per locali, durante il giorno si sta al mare!
Nei giorni liberi dal lavoro ci si passa anche l'intera giornata, per poi rientrare in serata fare una doccia veloce per poi uscire di nuovo ed andare a fare un giro in centro.

Il mio posto preferito di tutta Piombino è sicuramente Piazza Bovio, come puoi vedere da questa foto che ho trovato nella grande rete, la particolarità di questo posto è che ha la forma dell'Italia...

Ovviamente questa sua particolarità va a braccetto con un panorama mozzafiato che oltre ad un mare fantastico Ti mostra in lontananza l'isola d'Elba che, vista da quella torre, che a Piombino chiamano "Torre degli innamorati" in certe giornate sembra vicinissima, un po' come accade nello stretto di Messina quando c'è la Fata Morgana...

Per quel che riguarda i ristoranti e i posti dove mangiare non ne ho una preferito, sono tanti quelli che mi piacciono; naturalmente in tutti si mangia rigorosamente pesce, ricordo che quando vivevo lì con soli 5 euro ti facevano mangiare una frittura di pesce gigante, tutta roba freschissima tra l'altro, d'altronde in posti come Piombino il pesce davvero non manca.

Come puoi veder ho riservato la foto più bella per la copertina; più bella perché sono con i miei amici e stiamo facendo uno stand Avis, io facevo parte anche dell'Avis Giovani di Piombino quando vivevo lì.
Nell'occasione abbiamo montato il nostro gazebo proprio sotto le mura del castello di Piombino.

Bene credo che per oggi mi posso fermare qui anche perché, Ti confesso, nonostante mi sia distratto a scrivere di qualcosa di leggero e mi abbia anche fatto piacere ricordare i tempi in cui vivevo a Piombino, la mia mente per ora vaga e la tristezza va e viene ma, credo sia così che deve essere.
Grazie ancora al caro @mypathtofire per l'opportunità che mi ha regalato, può sembrare poco ma sono riuscito a distrarmi un po' e sono anche tornato a scrivere nello studio cosa che non facevo dal giorno prima della mia partenza per rimini.
