And Sunday has arrived.

Of course, the weather alert continues, no problem, we'll stay indoors. Reny will relax, and I'll do some work.

I confess these days are passing wearily; between the gloomy days that seem more characteristic of winter than spring, and the thought of Marley undergoing treatment, even though, to tell the truth, we don't see significant improvements.

In case these treatments don't yield the desired results, we'll have to figure out what to do. Nevertheless, he is gradually getting used to this situation, and consequently, we're trying our best to ensure he lives his life to the fullest.

It's not easy, but we'll make it together.

I had asked for him to be well, and ultimately, even if the antibiotic treatments end, worst-case scenario, he will be blind, but that's something we can cope with. When I see him suffering, still disoriented and lacking his usual vitality, it breaks my heart.

In a few days, I will leave for the national assembly of AVIS, and I will be away from home for the entire weekend; on one hand, I'm a bit anxious, but on the other hand, I know Reny, along with Marley and the Pinnoli, will manage well.

On the other hand, I'll take the opportunity to see old friends whom I haven't seen in a long time and give my brain a little break, even though, needless to say, I won't be able to fully disconnect, perhaps just the bare minimum.

Likewise, I am looking forward to Wednesday to understand the conditions of these new job proposals so that I can make my decision.

Whenever change is in the air, I'm always impatient. I confess I really enjoy change; and when it comes to radical and potentially lasting situations, as we hope this time will be, I hope things progress quickly to "ease my mind."

We'll see what will happen.

In the meantime, yesterday I published my first "no content" booklet in Italian and English on KDP; today, I will translate it into French, German, and Spanish and then proceed with publishing as many variations of this booklet in Italian as possible, aiming to saturate the niche.

When I talk about "no content" booklets, I mean products that consist of a single line on the last page as a bookend and the title on the cover, with the rest being entirely composed of illustrations or diagrams.

This, of course, allows for speedy production and publication once the templates are created. The situation also allows me to take advantage of the trial periods for the programs I'm using for this work.

It certainly doesn't involve significant costs, let's make that clear from the start. However, this way, I can recover the expenses even before incurring them... not bad, I must say.

Since we're talking about it, I feel like I can recommend this activity to everyone; it's something that can truly be started at zero cost. If you want to be a bit more professional, you can invest in some useful software for creating books, but we're really talking about a $9 monthly subscription for a program that makes our lives much easier. As for the rest, there are plenty of free resources available online that can be useful for our tasks.

Publishing on KDP is free, and as far as Italian tax regulations are concerned, since it involves receiving royalties, it's not necessary to have a VAT number. Of course, the earnings need to be declared, and taxes must be paid, but before reaching that point, I believe it takes some time.

Let's be clear, nobody likes taxes, but if the earnings are substantial, we can at least shed a tear with one eye.

As I mentioned yesterday, regardless of my work schedule, I have no intention of interrupting my side activities. I am aware that sacrifices need to be made, but I have to achieve my goals, and then I can enjoy all the free time I need.

In life, we need to be perseverant, have a bit of patience, and an excellent plan, and everything we need and desire will come as a result.

Ed è arrivata la domenica.

Naturalmente l'allerta meteo continua, poco male staremo dentro casa, Reny si rilasserá e io lavoro un po'.

Ti confesso che questi giorni passano stancamente; tra le giornate uggiose che sembrano appartenere più al periodo invernale che alla primavera e il pensiero di Marley che sta facendo le sue cure anche se, a dire la verità, non vediamo grandi miglioramenti.

Nel caso queste cure non dovessero dare i risultati sperati dovremo capire il da farsi, lui comunque pian piano si sta abituando a questa situazioni e noi, di conseguenza, stiamo cercando tutti i migliori espedienti per farlo vivere al meglio.

Non è semplice ma ce la faremo tutti insieme.

Io avevo chiesto che lui stesse bene e, in fondo, probabilmente terminate le cure di antibiotici, male che vada resterà cieco ma quella è una cosa alla quale si può sopperire.
Quando lo guardo soffro davvero tanto per lui, vederlo che sta male, ancora spaesato e non con la sua solita vitalità mi strugge il cuore.

Tra qualche giorno partirò per l'assemblea nazionale dell'Avis e mancherò da casa un'intero fine settimana; da un lato sono un po' in ansia, dall'altro so che Reny insieme a Marley e i Pinnoli se la caveranno bene.

Di contro io approfitterò per vedere vecchi amici che non vedo da tantissimo tempo e per staccare un po' il cervello anche se, inutile mentire, non riuscirò a farlo completamente, forse giusto il minimo sindacale.

Alla stessa maniera sto attendendo mercoledì per capire quali saranno le condizioni di queste nuove proposte lavorative per prendere la mia scelta.

Quando c'è nell'aria un cambiamento io sono sempre impaziente, confesso che cambiare mi piace molto; quando poi si tratta di situazioni radicali e magari durature, come si spera sarà questa volta, mi auspico che i tempi siano sempre celeri in modo da "togliermi un pensiero".

Vedremo cosa succederà.

Ieri, nel frattempo ho pubblicato il mio primo libretto "no content" in italiano e inglese su KDP; oggi lo tradurrò anche in francese, tedesco e spagnolo e poi passerò alla pubblicazione di più modelli possibile di questo libretto in italiano in modo da provare a saturare la nicchia.

Quando parlo di libretti senza contenuto intendo proprio prodotti con una frase in croce nell'ultima pagina a chiusura libro e il titolo sulla copertina, il resto è tutto figure o schemi.

Questo ovviamente porta, una volta realizzati i template, ad essere molto veloci nella realizzazione e nella pubblicazione dei prodotti.
La situazione mi permette anche di sfruttare il periodo di prova dei programmi che sto utilizzando per questo lavoro.

Non si tratta sicuramente di grossi costi, mettiamolo subito in chiaro, comunque in questa maniera riesco a recuperare le spese prima ancora di effettuarle... non malissimo direi.

Visto che ci siamo e che ne stiamo parlando mi sento di poter consigliare questa attività a tutti; si tratta di un qualcosa che davvero si può iniziare a costo zero.
A voler essere un po' più professionali si può investire in qualche programmino utile per la realizzazione del libri ma parliamo davvero di 9 dollari al mese per un abbonamento ad un programma che ci rende la vita molto più semplice; per il resto, nella grande rete, si trovano vagonate di risorse gratuite utili per i nostri compiti.

La pubblicazione su KDP è gratuita e, per quel che riguarda il fisco italiano, trattandosi di royalty percepite non è necessario avere partita Iva.
Certo i guadagni vanno dichiarati e bisogna pagarci le tasse ma ,prima di arrivare a quel punto credo che serva un po' di tempo.

Poi parliamoci chiaro le tasse non piacciono a nessuno ma se i guadagni sono cospicui possiamo dire che almeno si piange con un occhio.

Come ho anche ieri specificato, a prescindere dai miei orari lavorativi non ho intenzione di interrompere le mie attività extra; sono consapevole che ci sono da fare dei sacrifici ma devo raggiungere i miei obiettivi e poi potrò godere di tutto il tempo libero che mi necessita.

Nella vita bisogna essere perseveranti, avere un po' di pazienza e un ottimo piano e tutto ciò che ci necessita e che desideriamo arriverà come conseguenza.
