There, on the mountains with Totò, come, come too!

MAURO CORONA

And here I am, like every Friday, ready to write the post for the weekend engagement; today dear @galenkp really outdid himself by providing so many interesting ideas, I must admit that I had a hard time choosing; in the end I decided, now there's only to find out if it will be sea or mountains...

I know that, having been born in a seaside city, the choice will seem obvious to you, but it is not.

Yes because, surprisingly, between a small hut on an idyllic beach or a hut in the woods, I would choose the latter!

Don't misunderstand I love the sea and I've always thought that water is my element, but it must be said that, since the time of the scouts, I am also very attached to the mountains.

Both places transmit peace and serenity to me, I confess however, that going by feeling the mountains have a stronger attraction in me.
I've always loved spending the nights around the fire in a lonely wood with a sky full of stars. Furthermore, I always move well in the mountains and it's as if it comes naturally to me, as if I was born in places like this.

I like the sea very much and, when I need to reflect, I often turn to it, however, compared to the mountains, it tires me after a while; instead of the mountains I can't get enough, I could spend very long periods there or even go there to live.

If you remember, in some of my past posts, I wrote that I also actually lived there and that I consider that place, which has remained in my heart, the place of the soul and where, perhaps in old age, to go to conclude this beautiful journey that is life.

Among the reasons for my choice there is for example the cold and maybe even the snow that I love and with which I deal without too many worries, the heat on the other hand, I really can't stand it and it creates too much discomfort.

The thought of living in a forest, having to make wood for heating and cooking, taking care of my hut and trying to make it as comfortable as possible with the means that nature already offers in itself exalts me and also gives me peace and serenity; there is also the spirit of adventure involved, I believe that, in the mountains, you can experience every moment of your day and, although it may not seem like it, I am a very adventurous type.

Obviously affective reasoning should not be underestimated either; the mountains arouse many beautiful memories in me, some perhaps a little nostalgic, but all of them always fantastic and the fact of being able to relive them simply by taking a walk in the woods or lighting a fire certainly adds one more point to my choice.

Then there's also the question of food...

I've never been a great hunter or a great fisherman, but the land in the mountains is fertile and I know that I could cultivate it and in any case there are many spontaneous plants that you can eat badly so for a mere choice of survival I would choose the cabin in the woods ; it goes without saying that, probably, I would refine my hunting skills if necessary, maybe even fishing because it would be the best to live near a lake at which point I think I would really have everything and then, hunger sharpens the wit, right?

Among other things, it must be said that I have seen many videos on how to build huts and also read many books as well as having exploited the video material on bushcraft there too; this certainly does not make me an expert, but let's say that at least I know a little theory therefore, if it were necessary to use only the resources available in nature between my knowledge and a little inventiveness I would probably get along better in a forest than on a beach.

The ideal place would certainly be a fairly isolated mountain forest with a small lake nearby as mentioned before; perhaps not necessarily inaccessible or far from civilization, on the contrary, I would like to be able to reach a supermarket every now and then eh eh!
But I also wish it wasn't super easy to get there so as to limit my travels in urban areas to the bare minimum; I'd like it to be at least accessible because it's always nice to meet someone who goes to the woods, I'm a very sociable person.
However, I think a similar situation would also allow me to enjoy long periods of solitude, something I have never disdained and which I sometimes look for.

Well, this is my choice and these are the main reasons, at this point I think I've come to the end of my post, thank you for coming this far; let me know what you think in the comments.

Hug you!

Live in the forest into a simple and small house 🏘️, I think it called cabin, right? Near a lake and big trees

I have lived in the past in a mountain town, unfortunately not in a forest and a cabin, it would have been nice.
In the future who knows, right?

Thanks for stopping by and for the comment!
A hug!
