Three is better than one!

"The feeling of being immortal lasts so briefly, but nostalgia carries it with you for a lifetime."

(Fabrizio Caramagna)

After missing a Friday, which hadn't happened since I started, here I am ready to write the post for this weekend.

Beautiful topics, and I must confess, this week, given the situation, I was looking forward to Friday more than usual because it will help me distract myself a bit.

I think it's only right to thank dear @galenkp for the opportunity and the wonderful suggested themes.

Being a lover of life in all its aspects, the topic I chose to discuss is precisely that of three lives.

If it were possible for me to choose, I would want to be immortal. Some say it would be boring, but I really don't think so! Perhaps a bit painful at times, but definitely not boring.

Let's start with the assumption that I have always preached balance, and if I found myself in such a situation, I believe I would apply it to the letter.

I certainly wouldn't be aggressive and unscrupulous, and I would try to make each life last as long as possible by keeping myself fit and following healthy lifestyles; I have always thought that having something in abundance doesn't justify waste.

I would work in each life, trying to build for the next one. The goal would be to enjoy the greater rewards in the third life. That doesn't mean I wouldn't also appreciate the good things from the other two lives, but knowing I could come back three times, I would aim to make no sacrifices in my third chance.

For me, it's always like this; I tend to look at the long term and set ambitious goals that, once achieved, bring great satisfaction.

In the situation described by Galen, I would have a great advantage knowing I would be reborn, which would allow me to plan everything in detail and create an excellent plan that includes various backup options to avoid any unexpected events.

As for how I would live, honestly, I can't give a precise answer. I know that if I were to think about this life, I would try to achieve as much tranquility, serenity, and comfort as possible from the start, and then, year after year, life after life, I would strive to increase them.

One of the things I would pay great attention to is enjoying my relationships to the fullest, dedicating the right amount of time to them and not wasting a single moment together.

Knowing that I will be reborn inevitably brings with it the knowledge that I will outlive my loved ones in each life. Surely, I will have others in the next life, but for someone like me who is strongly attached to family and loved ones and has such a conflicting relationship with death, accepting the situation would be really difficult.

Certainly, knowing it beforehand would bring the advantage of preparation, although I don't believe there can be any preparation for something like this. When a father outlives his own child, there is no possible training or time that can help; in the end, he dies inside as well.

So, knowing that I have three lives, I would probably allow myself the joy of having a child only in the third life, in order to consciously avoid the pain mentioned above. Furthermore, being on my third chance, if the plans went as expected, I would find myself in a situation where I could provide my offspring with a comfortable life and have the opportunity to leave them a good inheritance.

I'm talking about material inheritance, of course, which would help them achieve their dreams. I sincerely hope that during the years, I would also be able to leave them a moral and educational legacy that they can carry in their life's backpack.

Obviously, to achieve the goals set for the third life, the practical plan would be to invest, accumulate, and make it grow so that it multiplies exponentially, year after year.

I have mostly talked about economic well-being because I believe that can make a difference in life. It doesn't guarantee happiness, but it allows you to build it with serenity and surrounded by certain certainties that, unfortunately, a life of restrictions and deprivations cannot provide.

I won't delve into the topic of money, as it has been discussed many times before, but by now, I think you know my stance. Living three lives wouldn't be immortality, but as far as I'm concerned, it wouldn't be bad at all. We can direct our lives and take them where we want, and knowing that I have a second and a third chance would certainly allow me to achieve what I desire. By the way, I am working on it, and I will achieve what I want, even if, to be optimistic, I will only have half a life left to enjoy it... but I will make it enough.

Well, I believe I have written enough for today. I can't reveal my entire plan to you, as the element of surprise is an advantage that helps, eh eh! I thank you again for your time and look forward to reading your thoughts in the comments below.

Hug You

"Yes, I too was born among men. I had never seen the Jungle. They passed me food from behind bars in an iron container until one night I felt that I was Bagheera, the Panther, and not a plaything for men. I broke the stupid lock with a swipe of my paw and left. And since I had learned the tricks of men, in the Jungle, I became more terrible than Shere Khan."

You said your first preference would be to live forever. But you would only have children in your third life, if you had three instead of eternity. If you were going to live forever, would you still have a family and close friends?
