Something happened today that made me a little sad and made me think a lot.

We have discovered that our Beloved Marley is no longer seeing

I had guessed something but, only today, when he was coming down the stairs, did I understand.
He has also had tonsillitis lately and has never complained.
Marley never complains my beautiful, he is the best dog in the world and he loves us like no one could.

Tomorrow we will go to the vet to understand what he is; I suspect that it may all depend on diabetes; so, just in case, we'll find out that Marley has diabetes.

Surely it would not be the best but it is still something that can be kept under control and if his blindness depended on this, an operation could be done by replacing the crystalline eyes and he would be able to see again.

Marley is absolutely our best friend, he is part of our family and we love him with all of ourselves.
It seems that the better you are, the worse things happen to you and Marley is an angel; despite everything, he does nothing, he accepts, he continues to be cheerful and to love us and I confess that he seems to be getting used to the situation already; his way of living, acting and reacting should be an example for everyone.

However, my reflections also focus on something else and, more precisely, on money.

Well, this would be one of the cases where money doesn't bring happiness but it would be very convenient.

On the contrary, this time, they would really make happiness, at least mine.

If Marley were operable it couldn't be done in Reggio because no vet does it here and, in addition, the operation could cost between 1500 and 2500 euros; considering that we would have to go and kill her and stay in a hotel or in any case in an AirB&B for at least a couple of days, to go well, at least 3000 euros would be needed.

Considering that I earn 400 euros a month with my job, I would need more than seven months of salaries to pay everything; it being understood that we shouldn't spend just 1 euro in seven months... I see it a bit tough.
Right now it's something we can't afford.

So if we discover that Marley is suffering from irreversible blindness we will suffer a lot, then we will adapt and make sure that he can be as well as possible; if we discover that he can be operated on we will suffer twice because, in addition to feeling bad about his suffering, we will know that he will have to live with this blindness because we don't have enough money and, if we did, he could recover.

So as always, it goes for dogs and it goes for men, if you're rich you also have an advantage in health problems.

Where I come from there is a saying that goes: "not even money can restore health!"; let's say this is 50% true but the other 50% is bullshit.

There are diseases that unfortunately cannot be cured even if you have a lot of money, the fact remains that if you have it, you can afford hospitalization and better treatments.
On the other hand, when it comes to problems that can be solved, but which require expensive treatments, then being rich can also restore health.

We often live on sayings and stereotypes; I am convinced that money does not give happiness but, in my belief, the correct sentence is: "not only money gives happiness".

And then, as I've always said, I much prefer a constant and lasting serenity.
Certainly having money together with a beautiful family, personal fulfillment is certainly a mix that gives both lasting serenity and many flashes of happiness.

Then there will be moments of obvious unhappiness, but those will always be there and they will be there for everyone.

Of course, I can't be outdone by our beloved big dog and I certainly won't stay here to feel sorry for myself, I'll find that money for the operation and I'll also find many more for all my family's needs.
I don't know yet how to give this situation a good swerve and acceleration but I'll get there, you bet your house!

Surely, if Marley were operable, I won't sit idly by accepting the situation; our little Samuele will be born in four months and his big dog brother will be able to see him, it's a commitment that I make on my honor and by now you know how important honor is to me.
I know that Marley would still see her thanks to her nose and ears and, above all, thanks to her heart. What about her doesn't mean that I will do what is necessary as I have always done in my life; if necessary it will be possible I will do it, if it will be impossible.... then I will do the impossible.

Now dear friend I salute you, sorry if I haven't commented much these days and if I've missed something but my mind is really taken up by so many things but don't worry, I can bend sometimes but I will never break.

Oggi è successa qualcosa che mi ha reso un po' triste e mi ha fatto riflettere molto.

Abbiamo scoperto che il nostro Amato Marley non vede più

Avevo intuito qualcosa ma, solo oggi, quando scendeva le scale ho capito.
Ultimamente ha avuto anche una bella tonsillite e non si è mai lamentato.
Marley non si lamenta mai bello mio, è il cane migliore del mondo e ci Ama come nessuno saprebbe fare.

Domani andremo dal veterinario per capire cosa sia; sospetto che il tutto possa dipendere dal diabete; quindi, nel caso, scopriremo che Marley ha il diabete.

Sicuramente non sarebbe il massimo ma è comunque qualcosa che si può tenere sotto controllo e se la sua cecità dipendesse da questo si potrebbe fare un'operazione sostituendo i cristallini degli occhi e tornerebbe a vedere.

Marley è in assoluto il nostro migliore amico, è parte della nostra famiglia e lo amiamo con tutti noi stessi.
Sembra che più uno sia buono più cose pessime gli accadano e Marley è un angelo; nonostante tutto, lui niente, accetta, continua ad essere allegro e ad amarci e Ti confesso che sembra si stia già abituando alla situazione; il suo modo di vivere, di agire e di reagire dovrebbe essere da esempio per tutti.

La mia riflessione però verte anche su altro e, più precisamente, sui soldi.

Ecco, questo sarebbe uno dei casi in cui i soldi non fanno la felicità ma farebbero molto comodo.

E anzi, questa volta, farebbero davvero la felicità, quantomeno la mia.

Se Marley fosse operabile non si potrebbe fare a Reggio perché qui nessun veterinario lo fa e, in aggiunta, l'operazione potrebbe costare dai 1500 ai 2500 euro; considerando che dovremmo andare a farla fuori e stare in albergo o comunque in AirB&B almeno un paio di giorni, ad andare bene, servirebbero almeno 3000 euro.

Considerando che io guadagno 400 euro al mese con il mio lavoro mi servirebbero più di sette mesi di stipendi per pagare tutto; fermo restando che non dovremmo spendere 1 solo euro in sette mesi... la vedo un po' dura.
In questo momento è qualcosa che non possiamo permetterci.

Quindi se scopriremo che Marley è affetto da cecità irreversibile ne soffriremo tanto, poi ci adatteremo e faremo in modo che lui possa stare il meglio possibile; se scopriremo che si può operare soffriremo due volte perché, oltre a stare male per le sue sofferenze, sapremo che dovrà convivere con questa cecità perché non abbiamo abbastanza soldi e, se invece li avessimo, potrebbe guarire.

Quindi come sempre, vale per i cani e vale per gli uomini, se sei ricco sei avvantaggiato anche nei problemi di salute.

Dalle mie parti c'è un detto che recita: "nemmeno i soldi possono restituire la salute!"; diciamo che questo è vero al 50% ma per l'altro 50% è una grande cazzata.

Ci sono malattie che purtroppo non si possono curare anche a possedere tanti soldi, resta il fatto che comunque, ad averceli ci si possono permettere degenza e cure migliori.
Quando invece si tratta di problemi risolvibili, ma che richiedono cure costose, allora essere ricchi può restituire anche la salute.

Spesso si vive di detti e di stereotipi; io sono convinto che i soldi non diano la felicità ma, nella mia convinzione, la frase corretta è: "non solo i soldi regalono la felicità ".

Che poi, come ho sempre detto, io preferisco di gran lunga una serenità costante e duratura.
Certo avere i soldi insieme ad una bella famiglia, alla realizzazione personale sicuramente è un mix che regala sia una serenità duratura che tanti sprazzi di felicità.

Poi ci saranno dei momento di infelicità ovvio, ma quelli ci saranno sempre e ci saranno per tutti.

Naturalmente, non posso essere da meno del nostro amato cagnolone e non resterò certo qui a compiangermi, troverò quei soldi per l'operazione e ne troverò anche tanti altri per tutte le necessità della mia famiglia.
Non so ancora come dare una bella sterzata e un'accelerata a questa situazione ma ci arriverò, puoi scommetterci la casa!

Sicuramente, se Marley fosse operabile, non starò con le mani in mano ad accettare la situazione; il nostro piccolo Samuele nascerà tra quattro mesi e il suo fratello cagnolone riuscirà a vederlo, è un impegno che prendo sul mio onore e ormai sai quanto per me l'onore sia importante.
So che Marley la vedrebbe comunque grazie al suo naso e alle sue orecchie e, soprattutto, grazie al suo cuore ciò non toglie che io farò il necessario come ho sempre fatto nella mia vita; se il necessario sarà possibile lo farò, se sarà impossibile.... allora farò l'impossibile.

Ora caro amico Ti saluto, scusami se in questi giorni non ho commentato molto e se mi sono perso qualche cosa ma ho davvero la mente presa da tante cose ma sta tranquillo, mi posso piegare ogni tanto ma non mi spezzeró mai.
