Cumpliendo sueños / Fulfilling dreams

Hace casi un año, una dura piedraque el destino puso en mi camino ayuddo a abrir mi mente y replantear mi filosofía respecto a la vida. Fue de esos golpes que llevan a uno a preguntarse si vamos por el camino correcto.

Almost a year ago, a hard stone that destiny put in my path helped to open my mind and rethink my philosophy about life. It was one of those blows that lead one to wonder if we are going the right way.

Esta situación hizo darme cuenta que las estructuras mentales no son buenas, que hay que dejar de planificar tanto el futuro y dedicarnos a vivir el presente, a disfrutar cada momento de nuestras vidas.

This situation made me realize that mental structures are not good, that we must stop planning both the future and dedicate ourselves to living the present, to enjoy every moment of our lives.

Fue así que a pesar de la complicada situación económica que estaba atravesando el país (y que hoy se ha acentuado notablemente) decidimos aportar por la familia, por los afectos y por dedicarnos a disfrutar de lo maravilloso de esta vida. Decidimos alejarnos por unos días de nuestras preocupaciones cotidianas y completar asignaturas que por diferentes cuestiones ibamos posponiendo.

It was so that despite the complicated economic situation that the country was going through (and that has been markedly accentuated today) we decided to contribute for the family, for the affections and for dedicating ourselves to enjoy the wonderfulness of this life. We decided to move away for a few days from our daily worries and complete subjects that we were postponing for different reasons.

En cuestión de días decidimos tomarnos unas merecidas vacaciones, o quizá hacer nuestro Viaje de Bodas que no pudimos tener cuando nos casamos. El destino elegido fue Ponta Das Canas, un pequeño pueblito situado en el extremo norte de la Islas de Florianópolis.

In a matter of days we decided to take a well-deserved vacation, or maybe take our Wedding Trip that we couldn't have when we got married. The chosen destination was Ponta Das Canas, a small town located at the north end of the Florianópolis Islands.

Hacía más de cuatro años que no nos tomabamos vacaciones, que no nos relajabamos, fue por elloque decidimos postergar los arreglos de la casa y esta vez tomamos un préstamo para disfrutar en familia, la inversión más valiosa que pudimos hacer.

For more than four years we did not take vacations, we did not relax, that is why we decided to postpone the arrangements of the house and this time we took a loan to enjoy with the family, the most valuable investment we could make.

Fue así que a principios del mes de enero del 2019 comenzamos nuestra aventura tan esperada y nos lanzamos a la ruta a comenzar a recorrer los 2700 kilómetros que unían a mi ciudad de nuestro soñado destino. El Viaje lo completamos en 3 días parando a disfrutar en todos los lugares que nos gustaban, tratando de vivir el viaje con mucha alegría a pesar del cansancio que implica manejar tantos kilómetros.

It was so that at the beginning of January 2019 we began our long-awaited adventure and launched ourselves on the route to begin to travel the 2700 kilometers that joined my city of our dream destination. The trip is completed in 3 days stopping to enjoy in all the places we liked, trying to live the trip with much joy despite the fatigue involved in driving so many kilometers.

Una vez que llegamos a Brasil, quedamos maravillados en un primer momento por sus hermosos paisajes, su densa vegetación, sus playas celestes de arenas blancas. Esos paisajes solo los veíamos por televisión y soñabamos algún día poder conocerlos en persona.

Once we arrived in Brazil, we were amazed at first by its beautiful landscapes, its dense vegetation, its white sand celestial beaches. We only saw these landscapes on television and dreamed one day to meet them in person.

Este año las vacaciones están destinadas a preparar la casa para recibir a nuestra segunda hija que llegará a este mundo a mediados del mes de marzo. Como verán el año 2019 fue un año en donde mi cabeza hizo un giro de ciento ochenta grados y un año donde pudimos cumplir varios de nuestros sueños pendientes.

This year the holidays are intended to prepare the house to receive our second daughter who will arrive in this world in mid-March. As you will see the year 2019 was a year where my head made a turn of one hundred eighty degrees and a year where we could fulfill several of our pending dreams.

Después de todo de eso se trata la vida; de soñar e intentar hacer esos sueños realidad.

After all that is what life is all about; To dream and try to make those dreams come true.
