La selección inglesa de Garteh Southgate ha sido apuntada por muchos como una de los conjuntos a seguir de cerca en el Mundial de Qatar 2022, pero “Los Tres Leones” viven un presente que dista mucho de aquel brillante porvenir que se le presagia. Los dirigidos por Southgate están sufriendo de lo lindo en la presente edición de la UEFA Nations League en la que no solamente no conocen la victoria tras 4 jornadas disputadas, sino que han recibido un histórico descalabro ante Hungría en el Molineaux Stadium de Wolverhampton.
Hungría, que en casa ya había derrotado al conjunto británico, se plantó en patio inglés y le pasó por encima a los de Gareth Southgate para terminar propinándoles una dolorosa derrota por 4-0, la derrota más abultada que el conjunto nacional inglés haya sufrido desde 1928, casi un siglo atrás. La Hungría del Molineaux se disfrazó de aquella gran escuadra de Ferenc Puskás, Nándor Hidegkuti y Sándor Kocsis que en 1953 derrotara a Inglaterra por un estrepitoso 3-6 para ser la primera selección no británica en ganar un encuentro en el mítico Wembley Stadium.
Garteh Southgate's England team has been tipped by many as one of the teams to watch closely at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, but "The Three Lions" are living a present that is far from the bright future that was predicted. Southgate's side have struggled mightily in the current edition of the UEFA Nations League in which they are not only without a win after four games, but also suffered a historic defeat against Hungary at Molineaux Stadium in Wolverhampton.
Hungary, who had already beaten England at home, came out on English soil and steamrollered Gareth Southgate's side to inflict a painful 4-0 defeat, the heaviest defeat the English national team had suffered since 1928, almost a century ago. Molineaux's Hungary dressed up as the great Ferenc Puskás, Nándor Hidegkuti and Sándor Kocsis side that in 1953 beat England 3-6 to become the first non-British team to win a match at the legendary Wembley Stadium.

Una selección magiar que no está clasificada para la Copa del Mundo de Qatar ha humillado al conjunto inglés habiendo necesitado solamente el 34% de la posesión de pelota durante el desarrollo del encuentro. Los húngaros son líderes del Grupo 3 de la Liga A en el que se encuentran 3 selecciones campeonas del mundo -Inglaterra, Italia y Alemania-, una locura que nadie jamás habría imaginado.

Ya que al minuto 70’, el conjunto visitante golpearía de nuevo las aspiraciones inglesas en el Molineaux; Ádám sacudió rivales como si de Kocsis se tratase y asistió a un Roland Sallai que se disfrazó de Ferenc Puskás para firmar un doblete -tres goles ante Inglaterra en dos partidos, pues marcó el gol de la victoria en casa por 1-0- que acercaba al cuadro húngaro a una histórica victoria.
The English debacle began in the 15th minute when, from a set piece, Lang won the ball in the air and it ended up at the feet of Roland Sallai, who, without delay, rattled the net defended by Ramsdale. The 1-0 lead for the Magyars would remain until after the break.
For in the 70th minute, the visitors would strike another blow to England's hopes at Molineaux; Ádám shook off opponents as if he were Kocsis and set up Roland Sallai, who disguised himself as Ferenc Puskás to score a brace - three goals against England in two games, as he scored the winner in a 1-0 home win - to bring the Hungarian side closer to a historic victory.

Al minuto 76’ Harry Kane estrelló un remate de cabeza en el larguero y tres minutos más tarde llegaría el tercer golpe húngaro. Ádám, que asistió en el segundo gol, volvió a hacerse presente con otra asistencia; un balón retrasado para un incontenible riflazo de Zsolt Nagy que hundiría toda esperanza para “Los Tres Leones”.
Y tras el tercero y la expulsión de John Stones, Hungría conseguiría un cuarto tanto para sellar la humillante derrota en territorio inglés; la defensa del conjunto de Southgate, completamente desdibujada, no supo contener la carrera de Dániel Gazdag que firmó el 4-0 picando la bola por encima del meta inglés.
Una dolorosa derrota para el conjunto inglés que no solamente se despide de la UEFA Nations League, sino que coquetea peligrosamente con descender a la categoría B de dicho torneo.
In the 76th minute Harry Kane headed against the crossbar and three minutes later Hungary's third strike arrived. Ádám, who assisted the second goal, made his presence felt again with another assist; a back pass to Zsolt Nagy's unstoppable rifled shot that sank all hope for the Three Lions.
And after the third and John Stones' sending off, Hungary would get a fourth goal to seal the humiliating defeat on English soil; Southgate's defence, completely disjointed, failed to contain the run of Dániel Gazdag who made it 4-0 with a chip over the English goalkeeper.
A painful defeat for the English side, who not only drop out of the UEFA Nations League, but are dangerously flirting with relegation to the UEFA Nations League B category.

Impresionante el dato que aportas sobre Inglaterra y goleadas recibidas, Hungría viene en crecimiento de años atrás, empezaron la National League en la zona C, ascendieron, luego estuvieron en la B y con solo un años ahí también ascendieron, ahora en la A siguen mostrando grandes resultados, me gustaría verlos en la Eurocopa y en 2026 porque no en un mundial, saludos.

El crecimiento de esta camada de la selección húngara es incontestable, son una especie de homenaje a los "Magiares mágicos" y sí, hay datos que son contundentemente aplastantes. Inglaterra se hace fuerte siempre en casa y doblarle no es tarea fácil, mucho menos lo es el golearla con tal amplitud.

Tengo la sensación de que Inglaterra hará un mundial muy malo....siempre ha tenido buenos jugadores, algunos con muchísima publicidad pero el mal momento que viven es bastante grave con el Mundial tan cerca.
