Fried Chicken with Spicy Sambal

Hi bloggers and food lovers, what are you having for lunch today? Today I’m going to share my lunch menu. I made battered fried chicken with spicy sambal, which tastes absolutely delicious when eaten with warm rice. But be careful—if you can’t handle spicy food, you can reduce the amount of bird’s eye chili peppers. Okay, let’s get right to it
Ingredients:
- 800 gram of chicken
- 1 package all-purpose flour
- 1 L of water
- 2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp shrimp paste
- 100 gram bird’s eye chili peppers
- 4 cloves of garlic
- 1/2 tsp shrimp paste
- cooking oil
Steps:

- Prepare the cleaned chicken, then add 2 tbsp of all-purpose flour to it

- Marinate the chicken for at least 1 hour

- After 1 hour, prepare the all-purpose flour mixed with salt and pepper

- Coat the chicken in the flour

- Dip it in water, then coat it again with all-purpose flour

- Heat the oil until very hot

Fry the chicken until cooked through and golden brown
Remove and drain

- Repeat until all the chicken is used up

- Prepare the bird’s eye chilies and garlic

- Place them in a food processor and chop the garlic and bird's eye chilies

Fry the sliced of shallots the chilies in the preheated oil
Cook until the chilies are tender and no longer raw

Add shrimp paste, sugar and salt to taste as seasoning
Turn off the heat and remove the chilies

- Prepare warm rice and arrange the chicken and spicy sambal on top

- The Fried Chicken with Spicy Sambal is ready to eat
