Orange Milk Jelly

Hi bloggers and food lovers, have a great weekend and enjoy your time off. This weekend, I’m going to share a sweet treat with a jiggly texture that’s perfect for your weekend. This dessert went viral a while back; it’s easy to make and requires just a few ingredients. The ingredients include agar and jelly made from seaweed extract. Alright, let’s get started

Ingredients:

  • 1 packet of agar powder
  • 1 packet of jelly powder
  • 5 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1L whole milk
  • a pinch of salt
  • 3 oranges

Instructions:

  • Peel the oranges and set the peels aside

  • Pour 1 packet of agar and 1 packet of jelly into a saucepan

  • Add the sugar and a pinch of salt

  • Add the milk to the saucepan

  • Stir until the agar powder and jelly powder are thoroughly mixed with the sugar

  • Once combined, turn on the heat and cook over medium heat

  • Stir continuously until small bubbles form on the surface, do not let it boil too vigorously

  • Turn off the heat

  • Cut off a small portion from the top and bottom of the oranges

  • Arrange the oranges in a cylindrical container like this, using a skewer or chopstick for help

  • Place them in the center of the container

  • Pour the jelly mixture into the container until the oranges are covered by the jelly

  • Let it sit until cool

  • Once sufficiently cool, refrigerate for 12 hours

  • Once set and chilled, remove from the container then cut the orange milk jelly with a sharp knife

  • Serve the orange milk jelly chilled

  • Orange Milk Jelly is ready to eat
