Greetings #MoviesAndTVShows moviegoers. For days I've been kicking around the idea of doing a special post on a fictional character that I've been a fan of for a few years now. It is about James Bond. Fictional character that tells the story of a Secret Agent of MI6. Before I start, I just want to add that this post is very special to me.

Origin

  Incredibly, this character is about to turn 63 years old since his first movie in the cinema. It is known that 007 was created by author Ian Fleming, who was responsible for writing a series of novels bringing to life the intrepid adventures of our all-time favorite Secret Agent: James Bond.

  Today I want to talk a little about all the actors who have played 007, how they were cataloged after playing the role, as well as the series of films made by each one. I understand that currently it is not known for certain whether or not there will be a next film of this character, what is certain is that there are many speculations about who will be the next protagonist of these novels.

  Throughout these 62 years, James Bond has been played by a total of six actors, each one giving a personal and different touch to 007. Although most of them have done a good performance, some gave a somewhat boring and exaggeratedly untouchable interpretation. Below I will be breaking down each 007 with their films.

𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙾𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚒𝚗𝚊𝚕 𝙱𝚘𝚗𝚍

  Sean Connery was the first actor to play James Bond. And boy did he know how to do it with excellence, his work is remembered as one of the best classics and no one has managed to overshadow his acting performance even after all this time. He knew how to capture a unique and balanced 007 between untouchable/perfect to Hero/simple. For me, he is one of the best. Among his films, this iconic character stands out:

  As a Curious Fact I must add that the movie Never Say Never Say Never is not considered part of the Bond franchise, because it is an unofficial film of the saga. I imagine it could be considered a spin-off of James Bond under the tutelage of Connery.

  As for the second actor George Lazenby, who gave life to James Bond in a single film and then turned down the role to give life to the secret agent for seven more films, he chose not to do so as he thought he would be typecast for that character later on. Although the character of Bond under this actor's performance diminished in quality, his film is memorable. He only worked in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969).

Origin

  In novel or comic book characters there always comes to be an author who hits the nail on the head with the character from head to toe. It's something that the author imagines at a certain point and that's what happened in the case of Timothy Dalton. For Fleming, the actor was the physical representation of his fictional character and he was delighted to see him work as 007. For him, he was one of the best to embody the secret agent.

  However, Dalton only managed to play Bond in two films. This was due to legal disputes between the producers of 007 and the studio for the distribution rights. Nevertheless, his films were some of his best, and although I didn't like him as much as 007, I admit he gave a good performance. As a bonus, Dalton favored Brosnan succeeding him in this role.

𝚃𝚑𝚎 𝙱𝚘𝚗𝚍 𝚘𝚏 𝚝𝚑𝚎 𝟿𝟶'𝚜

Origin

  We reached the 90s and what better time to integrate a James Bond with a sarcastic personality that allowed this fictional character to be reborn after so many years of absence. Pierce Brosnan (the favorite of many), enters this universe, providing a 007 more updated and adjusted to his times. He debuted and was a success from his first film in 1995 to his last in 2002.

  For me, Brosnan left a personal mark on this character, filling 007 with elegance and style to the point of making him the most desired man by women and most admired by men. And even though he is not of British origin, he was still given the opportunity and I think he did a great job.

  However, that the actor is of British origin has become more of a mandatory requirement than in previous times, so I don't think they will allow a non-British actor to play the role of James Bond again. Among his notable films as Agent 007 are:

  James Bond continues his exploits in the 21st century under the tutelage of Daniel Craig (my favorite 007). As for him, you know my detailed opinion of each of his films in previous posts. So I won't say much here about his character as James Bond.

  What I will say is that Craig proved himself to be a Secret Agent different from the others. He stood out from the others with a more human side, subtle and rebellious, extremely rebellious against having to follow orders.

  With a total of 25 films (26 taking into account the Connery Spin-Off**), over 62 long years and counting, the fictional character known as James Bond is expected to continue making his cinematic debut with his incredible wiles fighting to save the world as a MI6 Secret Agent.

  I admit that the post was quite long, but I still want to end it by adding that although there is no actor defined or officially chosen to play the next James Bond, I hope it will be played in the first instance by an actor of British origin and that it will not be Henry Cavill, but an actor with more acting preparation such as Charlie Hunnam, Sam Worthington or Idris Elba.

  I think they won't say anything until the James Bond character is about to celebrate his 65th anniversary. I imagine they will do something special to celebrate it like they did with his 50th anniversary. Personaje ficticio que cuenta la historia de un Agente Secreto del MI6. Antes de iniciar, sólo quiero agregar que este post es muy especial para mí.

  Es increíble que este personaje esté por cumplir 63 años de edad desde su primera película en el cine.   Sean Connery fue el primer actor en interpretar a James Bond. Y vaya que supo hacerlo con excelencia, su trabajo se recuerda como uno de los mejores clásicos y nadie ha logrado opacar su desempeño actoral incluso después de tanto tiempo. Él definitivamente supo plasmar un 007 único y equilibrado entre intocable/perfecto a Héroe/sencillo. Para mí es uno de los mejores. Entre sus películas como este icónico personaje destacan:

  Como Dato Curioso debo agregar que la película Nunca Digas Nunca Jamás no es considerada parte de la franquicia de Bond, esto debido a que es un film no oficial de la saga. Imagino que podría considerarse como un Spin-Off de James Bond bajo la tutela de Connery.

  En cuanto al segundo actor George Lazenby, que dio vida a James Bond en una sola película y que luego rechazó el papel para dar vida al agente secreto por siete películas más, optó por no hacerlo ya que pensó que sería encasillado por dicho personaje más adelante. Y aunque el personaje de Bond bajo la actuación de este actor disminuyó su calidad, aun así, su película es memorable. Él sólo trabajó en 007 al servicio secreto de su Majestad (1969).

  En personajes de novelas o historietas siempre llega a existir un autor que dé en el clavo con el personaje de pies a cabeza. Es algo que el autor se imagina en cierto punto y fue lo que ocurrió en el caso de Timothy Dalton. Para Fleming, dicho actor era la representación física de su personaje de ficción y estaba encantado al verlo trabajar como 007. Para él fue uno de los mejores que encarnó al agente secreto.

  Sin embargo, Dalton sólo logró interpretar a Bond en dos películas. Esto causado a disputas legales entre los productores de 007 y el estudio de los derechos de distribución. No obstante, sus películas fueron de las mejores y aunque a mí no me gustó mucho como 007, admito que hizo un buen desempeño. Como dato extra, Dalton estuvo a favor de que Brosnan fuera su sucesor en este papel.

  Llegamos a la década de los 90 y qué mejor momento para integrar un James Bond con una personalidad sarcástica y que permitió a este personaje ficticio renacer luego de tantos años de ausencia. Pierce Brosnan (el favorito de muchos), se adentra en este universo, brindando un 007 más actualizado y ajustado a sus tiempos. Debutó y fue todo un éxito desde su primera película en 1995 hasta su última en 2002.

  Para mí, Brosnan dejó una marca personal en este personaje, llenando de elegancia y mucho estilo a 007 a tal punto de hacerlo el hombre más deseado por las mujeres y más admirado por los hombres. Y aunque no es de origen británico, aun así, se le dio la oportunidad y me parece que hizo un grandioso trabajo.

  Sin embargo, que el actor sea de origen británico se ha vuelto más un requisito obligatorio que en tiempos anteriores, por lo cual, no creo que permitan que un actor que no sea de origen inglés llegue a hacer el papel de James Bond nuevamente.   James Bond continúa sus proezas en el siglo 21 bajo la interpretación de Daniel Craig (mi 007 favorito). De él saben mi opinión detallada con cada una de sus películas en post anteriores. Así que no diré mucho aquí de su personaje como James Bond.

  Lo que si diré es que Craig demostró por todo lo alto ser un Agente Secreto totalmente diferente a los demás. Destacándose de los otros con un lado más humano, sutil y rebelde, sumamente rebelde ante el hecho de tener que seguir órdenes.

  Admito que el post fue bastante largo, pero aun así quiero terminarlo agregando que aunque no hay un actor definido ni elegido de manera oficial para interpretar al próximo James Bond, yo espero que sea interpretado en primera instancia por un actor de origen británico y que no sea Henry Cavill, sino un actor con mayor preparación actoral como Charlie Hunnam, Sam Worthington o Idris Elba.
