[ESP-ENG] Sometimes a change is necessary

Sí, a veces necesitamos un cambio, y esto lo podemos llevar a cualquier contexto de nuestra vida. Cambiar nos puede hacer mas conscientes de nuestras cualidades, entender que quizás era lo que necesitábamos para obtener mejores resultados o incluso, saber que todo cambia para mejor, y tomar riesgos nos brindará mas confianza en nosotros mismos. Sin embargo, esta vez les hablaré de un cambio de look que por fin me atreví a hacer.

Desde hacía ya un tiempo tenía el cabello suuuper largo, quería cortarlo, pero no encontraba la suficiente "fuerza" por así decirlo y hacerlo, no tanto era porque dudaba como me quedaría, sino que no me quería deshacer aun de mi larga cabellera, que me encantaba. Y sí, capaz estaba segura que un corte de varios dedos sería suficiente para eliminar aquellas puntas un poco resecas, pero, también había estado viendo muchas fotos en las redes sociales de chicas con cortes de cabello cortos, que lucían genial y por ahí se me fue creando la idea. Le mencionaba a mis amigos mi idea, y unos me apoyaban y otros no, pues les encantaba como me veía con el cabello largo, y otras amigas incluso, que tanto luchan porque les crezca el cabello, estaban negadas a que lo hiciera. Por otro lado, a mi mamá siempre le ha encantado cuando me corto el cabello, así que ella apoyaba 100% esta iniciativa.

Esta historia es de diciembre, ya faltaba poco para finalizara el año, y me decidí, así que quise hacer más real que nunca la frase de "nuevo año, nueva yo" jajaja, físicamente hablando. Me decidí y el 30 de diciembre fui a la peluquería ¡y ocurrió! en cuestión de segundos me quité un peso de encima, me sentía más libre..

Change can make us more aware of our qualities, understand that maybe it was what we needed to get better results or even know that everything changes for the better, and taking risks will give us more confidence in ourselves. However, this time I will tell you about a change of look that I finally dared to do.
For some time now I had super long hair, I wanted to cut it, but I couldn't find enough "strength" so to speak and do it, not so much because I doubted how it would look, but because I didn't want to get rid of my long hair, which I loved. And yes, I was sure that a few finger cuts would be enough to get rid of those dry ends, but, I had also been seeing a lot of pictures on social media of girls with short haircuts that looked great and that's how I got the idea. I mentioned my idea to my friends, and some of them supported me and others didn't, because they loved the way I looked with long hair, and other friends, who fight so hard to grow their hair, were against me doing it. On the other hand, my mom has always loved it when I cut my hair, so she was 100% supportive of this initiative.
This story is from December, the year was almost over, and I made up my mind, so I wanted to make the phrase "new year, new me" more real than ever, hahaha, physically speaking. I made up my mind and on December 30 I went to the hairdresser's and it happened! in a matter of seconds I took a weight off my shoulders, I felt freer...

Incluso, llegué a quererlo un poco más corto, pero la peluquera me detuvo, ella también estuvo impactada por mi decisión, le parecía que estaba bastante lindo. Pero, qué tanto... el cabello crece, ¿no? Me atreví y me arriesgué al cambio, empezaría un ano con un nuevo look. Aproveché y dije que con el cabello se iba todo lo negativo, y estaría mejor ahora. Además. ya llevaba bastante tiempo con el cabello largo, un corte a media espalda básicamente no iba a sorprender tanto, me seguiría viendo más o menos igual, sin embargo, ya yo estaba decidida a que quería un cambio un poco más radical, que se notara la diferencia! Y les puedo decir con sinceridad que ahorita me encanta mi cabello corto, e incluso estoy debatiendo a ver si lo puedo retocar nuevamente y poner un poquito más corto, les notificaré pronto jajaja.

I even wanted it a little shorter, but the hairdresser stopped me, she was also shocked by my decision, she thought it looked pretty cute. But, how much... hair grows, doesn't it? I dared and risked the change, I would start a year with a new look. I took the chance and said that with the hair all the negative things would go away, and I would be better now. Besides, I had already had long hair for a long time, a mid-back cut basically wasn't going to surprise me so much, I would still look more or less the same, however, I was already decided that I wanted a more radical change, that the difference would be noticeable! And I can honestly say that right now I love my short hair, and I'm even debating to see if I can touch it up again and make it a little bit shorter, I'll let you know soon hahaha.

Con el cabello corto a veces me veo mas tierna, pero también depende del look completo, porque no les voy a negar que es una experiencia totalmente distinta, las vibras que da un look corto son super distintas. Incluso lo compartí con otra amiga que también decidió cortarse e cabello, y estuvo de acuerdo. Una amiga me mencionaba, que a ella le parecía que este corte en las chicas las hacía ver mas empoderadas, con mucha confianza, y sí es tal cual como me siento, ustedes que opinan?

Creo que mientras pueda, disfrutaré de ambos looks. Somos jóvenes, tenemos chance de variar, cambiar y disfrutar de cualquier look.
