Owning a million-dollar Ferrari typically means a garage and security cameras; owning a Rolex doesn't involve wandering back alleys at night without protection.
Similarly, holders of millions in crypto should adopt basic security practices—avoid keeping everything in one wallet (hot or cold); at minimum, use a multisig with a trusted custodian.
Abandoning the "Your Keys, Your Coins" ethos would undermine the core purpose of crypto.
As users become younger and more tech-native, learning self-custody should become easier; centralized exchanges shouldn't be accepted as the only onboarding path
