Psyber-X: What Are You Waiting For???

If you are not completely beside yourself about Psyber-X and have already bought some LVL tokens, then you are missing out…….I hate you…..and you are dead to me! End of post! Wait, wait, wait…I’m sorry, I didn’t mean that, you know we are down like four flat tires, I just get so worked up about all the people that are going be late to the gaming party of the century or, even worse, going to miss out of an event so monumental that many will look back and mark this as the turning point for the mass adoption and adoration of play-to-earn gaming! Don’t be like the guys who looked at Apple in their humble beginnings and say “Oh, interesting, but I’m just not sure they will be able to pull it off”, when in fact…..they already have!!!

You can call this a shill post until you get blue in the face, but the fact is what Psyber-X will accomplish in the arena of P2E gaming will be legendary and there are many skeptics who will remember this opportunity and regret it for years to come. There are so many things lining up and the stars aligning to make this such a success.

For instance it you take a chance and spend some time in their discord as I have, you will see a veritable “who’s who” of the Hive blockchain especially with regards to the current Hive gaming and P2E landscape. There are some serious heavy hitters involved with this project and others who have invested heavily based upon all the variables Psyber-X has been able to pull together and accomplish. The other factor that carries quite a bit of weight with me is the successes the Psyber-X parent production team, Royal Reptile Studios have developed by creating an interest in the mainstream traditional gaming industry and through that pulling in talent and investors from that world.

People often dream of touching greatness….of being in a place and time to witness something profound……your time and place is NOW to bear witness to a literal game changing event. You can be part of this epic journey!

Ok, ok, ok…let’s slow it down a bit and consider for a moment that you are not just a skeptic….let’s suppose that you just either haven’t heard of this project or that you misunderstand it as just a rehashing of what is already being done with regards to Hive gaming. Let’s lay some things out….shall we?

For those who are uninitiated to the beauty and glory of what Psyber-X will be, it is not just another reiteration of a static Hive card-based game. This is a first person shooter!! You will get to kill, maim, and decimate other Hiveans….hopefully the ones that leave the snarky comments on your posts! This will be a fully-functional, absolutely interactive FPS with all the bells, whistles, and features we traditionally expect from such an experience. Wait…what….a FPS!?!?! Yes, you heard correctly. This is a beautifully crafted FPS that will include various game types, weaponry, and killstreaks. Most of these features are already in place or towards the end of their development cycle. You can gain a bit more insight on the gameplay styles in this recent post by the Psyber-X team.

One of the most interesting aspects to the flow of the game to me is how they incorporated the traditional elements of killstreaks and intermingled them with the blockchain standards of NFT’s. Each killstreak will be a NFT that will be usable during games as you progress through consecutive kills. So it works like a traditional killstreak in that X kills unlocks Y killstreak, but the killstreaks are obtained through NFTs that are collected through the blockchain methods of airdrops, using in-game currency (LVL), and so on. The killstreaks are a wonderful blend of traditional styles of killstreaks with the stunning aesthetics of a cyberpunk imagining. Some of the killstreaks that have already been announced are a futuristic K9 companion, a controllable flying drone, a massive mech ,body churning, vehicle of mayhem, and other interesting interpretations of what we’ve come to expect from killstreaks.

Here is a fairly comprehensive breakdown of the crate systems and killstreaks from the game developer. Airdrop crates will be dropped to those wise gamers who hold LVL at a rate of one crate per 200k LVL held and will be offered for in-game purchase by utilizing the LVL token which can be purchased on exchanges such as Hive-engine, traded from other players, or even through contests if you are creative or lucky.
