30 minutes outside can change your life.

All that you need to do is to step outside and to watch a show in the sky.

A strong wind drove the clouds around, and I decided to use a treetop across the road as a marker. That is the tree that you see in the shot above, and now I just had to wait to see what the clouds would do. Now I know that you are going to ask me how it can change your life, and at first, I can tell you that it will not change everybody's lives, as many of us across the world, are already hooked on nature.

I am talking about those that live inside their phones, gadgets, PC's, and TV's. Just step outside on a strong windy day, and you even don't need a camera, to watch the sunset show when there are some clouds around. There are several benefits linked to this habit, as it is free, and also healthy, as one can breathe fresh air. The greatest benefit, for me at least, is that the steady flow of the clouds, and the color changes, always result in a deep sense of serenity in my soul.

This below was how it started.

Crazy cloud patterns were whizzing along, and I just kept on clicking away on the speedy changes of the cloud patterns as they came across the treetop. If you have an imagination like mine, you will even think that the treetop was filtering the clouds to change their patterns, but that is impossible as the clouds are so much higher than the treetop. Lol.

Then the wife told me to come inside to eat supper, and so this is it.

Amazing when you think what changes can happen during a 30-minute period, as most times when the wind is down the clouds would just leisurely and slowly drift over the sky. Thankfully, we have some strong winds over here and they are all artists when it comes to changing of the cloud patterns. I am sure that you would also want to see this for yourself, but if you don't step outside for a breath of fresh air, then you will never see it.

Our hospitals are full of people that live a sedentary indoor life, and sitting for long periods is always bad medicine for the body. Strangely, I think we all know this, but then why do we still do it? But then again, food fried in oil is also not good for our bodies, yet the fast food and takeaway places are coining it. Oh yes, there are many other things that are bad for us, and I am only trying to promote the outside life.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

I agree with what you said, being outdoors allows us to find a sense of calm that often gets lost when we're too busy staring at screens, especially in the kind of atmosphere you described. Happy Thursday, my friend.

Thank you, and I had no other way to try and get people to go outside, as it will be so good for them.
Hope that your Thursday is also good.

I find it relaxing to sit and watch the clouds drift by... Some people may not be outdoor enthusiasts, but still a walk in the park every day can change their outlook on life. I loved the cloud shots you got there, the Cape does seem to have a lot of wind and clouds making for some interesting formations in the skies. Sadly, we don't get many of the same types of clouds here, mostly storms coming in off the ocean.

We as humans have become very sedentary. We spend too much time indoors working and sitting down. People are attached to little boxes they carry around in their hands. I'm pretty sure evolution didn't intent for that addiction, but addictions are tendencies we have humans. Even to fatty foods fried in oil and drugs that are just plain bad for us... Such is life!

I agree, time outdoors away from the electronics can do everyone some good! Great post, and a tip as always my friend!

Oh yes, you know exactly what I am talking about, and I will soon do a post to show how destructive 75kph wind gusts can be. We had them today at our local open air coffee shop, and everyone sat inside, except us two as usual. Feel blessed that you don't get them there.

That's what I am warning about as sitting for long periods can be very harmful to one's health. The muscles must work to stay in shape, and it cannot do that by staring seated on a screen every day, as that is just asking for trouble. You are also right about addictions, and over here we also have a lot of trouble by the illegal drug trade. Mankind seems destined to destroy itself.

Thanks for the tip as usual :)
