A collection of wild bird photos.

It is the start of the new week, and we wish all of you to fly high with peace and happiness as you make your steady progress through the week.
I get many birds on camera on our journeys, and I will share pictures of some of them with you today.

Some early morning pictures for you.

I often stop on the road when I see a bird and then I simply snap away. Many times there are obstacles in the way, but quite often I can get some clear shots. So many times I see people pass us, and they travel in a hurry because they are fixed on their destinations. We are not like that, as when my wife and I drive our eyes are all over the place. Now don't get me wrong, for I have been driving for many years and my subconscious operates the car when I drive. But I don't just concentrate on the road, as I am a photographer and I always keep my eye out for something that you will see in here.

This is a European Starling.

This little one is again a European Starling collecting nesting material.

And finally, I saw a flock of Sacred Ibises.

The area is riddled with bird species, all over the place, and one can hardly drive one kilometer without seeing a bird. Many times, it is impossible for me to stop, especially in dense traffic, and many times I cry because I see a lovely bird and there's no way that I can take a photo of it. At other times, though such as in here, I can slam the hazards on, pull up the handbrake, and take a photo. Sometimes I'm lucky and sometimes I'm not. But that is the way of life now, isn't it? At times we score and at other times we don't. A perfect example of this is our South African Springbok Rugby team. I don't know if you have been watching the world cup, but the luck was with them as they won the last three matches by only one point each. Never before repeated.

I hope you have enjoyed the pictures.

Beautiful shots. These reflect on the fact that birds are always in a hustle to sustain their lives. Thanks for sharing such amazing pictures.

Nice collection. Can totally relate to the wanting to stop whenever I see a bird part. :) Cheers! !BEER

Thanks and yes, the urgency to stop certainly grabs me at times. So sad that at times stopping is impossible and it's sheer torture.

I myself go to make such pictures. It is not easy to make such perfect pictures. Birds fly and move. All these birds look very beautiful.
