A rare lazy Sunday.

Come and take a short drive with us to the shop.

A Fork-tailed, Drongo bird (Dicrurus adsimilis) sang good morning to us as I opened our car's door.

Not very often that we have a Sunday off and the intention was to take things easy and rest. Charity work keeps us constantly on the run, as the lockdowns sow havoc over here and the demand grows daily. But no rest will only lead to yet another burn out, so I have forced a rest day for us.
Phone off and taking things easy for the day.

A pair of beautiful Spaniels greeted me at the shop as Marian got me the Sunday newspaper inside.

This crow was watching us when we arrived back home.

Then a surprise visitor as we opened the doors and the windows of our house. She must have watched her grandmother entering the house long ago.
Or it might be an inherent trait, as only one squirrel of the 5 is brave enough to come inside.
059.jpg

Of course she got her nut reward for her bravery and she scampered back outside.

Then, as I walked around into the garden this little fella was waiting for me.
001.jpg

Yes, he knows that I keep nuts in my pocket and he was not disappointed, and he jumped for joy as he took off.

Just a show here of our real friends, the birds and the animals and even the Robins appeared wanting their daily meal of dried worms.
We saw some estate agency signs this morning for houses for sale in the area and I hope that we will find something in our cheap bracket soon. Yes, we will miss our little family of animals over here, but we will cultivate many friendships with others on our way through life. Just as we have in the past.

And That's All Friends.

Ha, they love us and they know that we love them my friend. Animals are not stupid and they know when a place is safe.
They have been here every day for the 3 years that we live here now.

Cheers and !BEER

Thank you kindly and yes, we get a 5kg bag of nuts every week.

We are looking for a place closer to work and away from the town's traffic noise.

Blessings and have some !PIZZA

You took it easy today - nice, my friend, and your story is very nice too. I love the squirrel waiting for you in the house and the one waiting for a nut outside.

I really wonder how life will be for them without you around and vice versa, but I know already what you will reply now 😉

!BEER and !WINE - both make a nice dinner with !PIZZA :)
