A story of cruelty and love!

As a puppy this Borador was dumped on a national highway!

Thankfully this lady was behind the car of the guy that dumped the pup. She stopped in heavy traffic and collected the pup. Due to the slow traffic she could follow the guy and at a traffic light she went to tell him what a skunk he was.
By grace she decided to keep the pup.

Ever heard of a "Borador"?

158.JPG

So, he goes down to the waters edge and he peeps expectantly!

154.JPG

And there he goes, the lady threw a stick into the water!
No fear of the ice cold mountain water in our winter!

155.JPG

Gotcha and he returned with the stick!

159.JPG

Here he was waiting for something else!

164.JPG

Ah! A tennis ball was thrown and he took off like a rocket!

163.JPG

Gotcha and he returned with the ball!

This is what love can do and this is one of the most gentle and friendly dogs that we have come to know!

But what is a Borador?

A cross between a Border Collie and a Labrador Retriever!

"Playful and energetic, the Borador makes an absolutely excellent family dog. This is a pup that puts a smile on every family member’s face and a spring in their step! Often described as a naturally happy breed of dog, they are incredibly sweet and are always great around children as well as other dogs. They’ll bite and play with any toys you give them, yet they will gently and lovingly lick your kids head to toe if given the chance".

"Sounds perfect, right? Well, that’s because the Borador is a mixed breed pooch that inherits traits from two fantastic dog breeds. This designer dog was developed by crossing a Border Collie with a Labrador Retriever. As you all know, those are two incredible breeds of dog. So you can just imagine what a combination of those two parental breeds will deliver".

Just a last important word here today!

The cruel guy that thought the traffic would take care of his problem was countered by an act of love.

When will we as humans finally realize that love can fix so many of our errant and selfmade problems.
Children are killed; no love! Parents and old people are despised; no love! Partners are cheated; no love!
Just 3 examples here and I am sure that you can each list many, many more. Rudeness sucks!
The only way that we are going to fix things is when each of us start to care, not only for ourselves and our bank balances, but also for the well being of others.

My question is; Are you a dumper, or a lover?
Only you will know!

I have tagged some writing minds here to give us their view on the subject of love.

@tarazkp @galenkp @abitcoinskeptic @niallon11 @dswigle @traciyork and anyone else that would care to comment.

I am a keeper, I want to take home all kinds of things I find (not a hoarder though). However, my wife is a dumper.

Raining cats and camels here and will continue until Saturday.
By a dumper, I meant a cruel person and your wife is certainly a kind and loving person. So are you by the way!

Hahaha, you already have the dam samples of fishes in the house and a veggie garden, so you are a semi farmer.
When Hive Booms you can buy your own small farm and have as many animals as you like.
Maybe a good idea for your retirement in the future!

I am so enamored with Lady Marian and yourself, that you take it upon yourself to save the world, one creature at a time. Whether man or animal makes no difference to you, you instill your brand of love, needed or not.

I have watched you for years, both of you oh, and there is no end to your giving. If you have to give you're a little bed if someone in need, I cannot see you liking and I before you hand it over, even delivering it to where it needs to be.

Oh, I know you're not a perfect man and you've sown your Wild Oats, but the time has softened your heart and you were sent Lady Marian to make sure it stays that way. It takes a special breed of person to do what you do, be who you are, live like you live. We have circled each other since the days of TSU and I can honestly say that I have always held you in the highest regard and believe that you never get your just Rewards. I know someday that it would be nice to hand over the reins, but I know that you don't want to do that until you're in a good place. Unfortunately the timing is terrible right now and I think God has other plans for you come even though you thought you may get a rest.

I see your love everyday in so many different ways.

As for your baby borador, I think that he is a very lucky guy indeed. Through the trauma of being don't in heavy traffic it was chosen for him to be in the path of love. Both of those breeds appeal to me, and I cannot imagine absolutely loving a dog like this. Thank you so much for tagging me because I miss so many posts! You are definitely so many lucky people's guardian angel. God bless you always Stephen !

Thank you so much for this kind reference Lady @dswigle.
Rest assured that we also regard you with pure love and respect.
Our paths have crossed so many times in the past that I have lost count and the magical thing is that we have always stood by each other.

This is the way that life can work if people will only allow their hearts to lead.
I have learned the very hard way to act on my impulses, as I believe that they are controlled messages and my life has changed for the better.

It is the brainbox upstairs that we have to be careful of, as it always tries to interfere with a good impulse. An example; I see an old man with a broken crutch, roughly repaired with some scrap wire. So the impule comes that I should get him a new crutch. Now here's where the "reasoning" mind steps in and says no, he might be a scammer, or an alcoholic and he will sell the new crutch to get money for alcohol.
So, I go and get the crutch regardless.

What many people don't understand is that if one donates anything to someone else, the reward is that one has done something good. One's conscience and heart is clear.
What they do with it is not the donors concern and if they use it for nefarious purposes it will be accounted to them by karma/yingyang/life,God and not to the donor.

So that's why we keep on giving and we don't give with grudging hearts, but in fairness and care from our hearts, just as you do!

We are honored to have you as a very good friend!

Blessings!

Thank you! And in response to that, I have to agree. If I give a gift and they sell it, it is not my business to judge. All things are taken care of, eventually. It has been a long stretch together !!! :)

Yep, thank you for the agreement and at the rate that we are going there's still a long road ahead for both of us together.

My goodness Lady Denise, just saw what you did in our wallet 😵
Such a big gift and you once again caught us flat footed with your generosity.
I will indeed sleep a bit easier tonight hahaha.

Our markets normally open in Spring (September), but with this Covid shutdown I don't think that they will open again this year, as too many people gather there.
So no to the market for us to buy a plum hog yet or is it a fat bun?
But we will keep our ears peeled, or is it our eyes?

A sincere thank you for all of your years of support!

Blessings and all strength to you and the #marketfriday!

I'm a lover but always being dumped. Cruel world, it won't let me happy. Well, it was some time ago and I ignored it already because life is always like that.

Many of us have walked that lonely and rejected road my friend.
I decided to change my life and happiness came to me, but I was only one of the lucky ones.

We wish you well on your road and sincerely hope that you will also find happiness.

Thank you for the visit.

Caring for others seems to be a lost art, or a dying art at least, if not lost. People are so self-absorbed and focused on what they think brings them enjoyment, pleasure, status and validation that they forget to connect with others. Most can't love themselves, let alone someone else.

I speak generally of course.

Nice to see that pup gain a good home...And hopefully the bloke who dumped it gets...Well, what is coming. I'm sure he will..

All a sad truth that you spoke here Sir @galenkp.
We see it every day and can I tell you that the poor people care more for each other than we do.
It is even seen on our streets here, as they once again gathered in unity today to burn tyres on the main road in protest about promises that were not fulfilled.

"No", they were not prostesting for money, but for something basic. Decent toilets!

Now this might be a laughing matter for many, but imagine having to walk in the rain and mud at night to a communal toilet that is often broken. Shared by many a person might have to wait outside in the rain and gale force winds.

Imagine protesting for a health clinic, a police station or a school?
But one thing that they have right is that their communities are united.

And us? Well we have become complacent and pliable in our isolation and we often moan alone on social media. As long as we have a roof over our heads, clothing and food, plus our own transport, everything that thousand of others do not have, what or why then would we care?

This world is broken methinks and the only ones that can heal it is US!!!
In unison of course!

Apologies for the lengthy reply, but that dog touched me today!

It's difficult to think some are denied the basic things in life when I have all of those things at my disposal and more. A few here should go and see the conditions in which people live there; It may make a difference to how they think...And maybe not.

Totally agreed with you my friend.
People invent all types of excuses to justify their own luxuries, but the fact remains that there are so many out there that do not have even a slice of bread to eat.

Yes, we understand the hollow "Give a man a fish" story and we have run many skills empowerment projects, but there will always be hunger and this is a fact. So, we do what we can.
From experience I can tell you that even if people see this in person, only 10% will help and the other 90% will walk away with a "we wish you well" remark.
Such is life my friend.

Hope your Friday is not too bad with Monday on your mind.
All strength to you guys!

Among other things, I love old motorcycles. They need love too.

My guy is a pound rescue. Half Rhodesian Ridgeback and half something, probably boxer. He was picked up by a good Samaritan on the highway. My question would be "How could somebody let such a good dog get away from them?" I have no answer but am certainly glad he came to live with me.

For several years I have conscientiously tried to be the change I want to see. It's just the little bit that I can do to make this place better.

Hahaha I have a friend here on Hive that also love and restores old motorcycles Sir @bigtom13
You might also know him.

Respect to you for adopting that mutt and he sounds like a great one, because Rhodesian Rigebacks have great blood for cross breeding.

Here's a Rhodesian Ridgeback youngster shot for you and thank you for the visit!

Hahaha, like drinking fridge water Lady Joan.

I am sure that the water temp totally hyperactivated him.
We are raining sopping wet here until Saturday and we just heard on the radio that the gale force winds are on their way. Blowing only at 50-60kmh at the moment.

I was lucky early this morning to get some of the storm's advancing clouds on camera. So beautiful.

That is such a friendly and kind dog that I had to block him, as he wanted me to swim with him.
In fridge water nogal!

Blessings and hope that guys will also get some rain!

Having just returned from the tip having dumped gyprock and building waste - I feel uncomfortable answering the question. Although, I did separate into the right locations where they repurpose and recycle.

Two of my friends have just picked up "new dogs" that were previously unloved and they are over the moon. Dog therapy goes both ways.

i think these days, a lot of people like the idea of something, but not the responsibility for it - this includes parents. People see responsibility as a chore to be avoided, and miss that it is the value of being human.

Sorry to have caught you at the wrong time my friend.
I did not mean actual dumping, but you know that and I think that I used the wrong word.

The idea was to concentrate on the necessity of more love in this world, as displayed here for an animal, just so it should be displayed amongst humankind towards each other.
Unconditional love is an ancient healer and it can heal this world if we all stand together. Even the communities on Hive can benefit from it.

Firstly. I had a border collie sheepdog mix for 15 years and he was a part of the family. Such an intelligent and friendly dog so I'm already on your side from the first paragraph.

I love animals and think that anybody who abuses them like this are pure scum. Growing up on a farm gives you a healthy respect for them and I would have picked up the puppy myself if I had seen it dumped. I might however have been a bit more agrresive to the dumper. 💪

Respect is massively important in life and while you don't have to like everybody. Respect for them, their opinions and their property would cover most issues in this life. If we all ahd that approach, there would be a lot less problems in the world.

0

I certainly agree with you.
We also have a great love for all animals and our place here is almost a zoo of wild animals that come to eat here.
In fact the one squirrel has claimed my wife as her own and she jumps all over my wife.

Dogs are mankinds best friends and running a charity, we work in poor areas where we often see abuse, but we don't allow it. All life is sacred, but so many don't understand this.
That Borador is indeed a magnificent animal and your own sheepdog must also have been a great dog.
We had 2 of them on the apple farm and they herded the chickens hahaha.

It all starts with respect for the self my friend. If one doesn't respect the self, one wouldn't respect others.
We continue to teach this, but it remains a battle.
Your remark about the world being a better place is spot on, but it takes a lot of work to teach basic principles such as respect.

Hope that you have a good Friday and thank you for the visit!
