Abe was sitting and watching girls.

Yesterday I posted the big buzzards and today I post the small wagtails. With a touch of humor of course :)

Abe was sitting on a high spot on the head of a show giraffe. Minding his own business in a bit of peace and quiet.

Now we all know that marriage is a 50/50 % business. The wife does the dishes, the cooking and looking after the children, and the husband tries his best to do as little as possible :)
A perfect example here as Maddy was feeding the children, while Abe sat "thinking about business opportunities". At least that was his excuse when Maddy accosted him. Men always have stupid excuses:)
Of course, guilt always plays a part and then the husband goes out of his way to make the missus feel good again.

Sadly his wife Maddy, arrived and she said; Abe, instead of watching the girls, you can rather help me to feed the babies.
Even the giraffe was pulling his tongue out.

So without a word. Abe our hero, took off with the intent to show Maddy what a good husband he was. They are Cape Wagtails (Motacilla capensis).

Oh, of course Maddy followed him in case he would stop off at the "Feather Bar" for a pint:)

Now our Abe is an expert dragonfly hunter and imagine his wife's delight when he arrived with 3 dragonflies. One for each baby.

And here our Abe arrived with another lot of dragonflies.

Maddy was so happy that she also nipped a few dragonflies. Look carefully as they both had dragonflies.

They fed the babies together and then had a dance of happiness above the bush where the nest was in.

Peace reigned and they lived happily together ever after!

Sounds nice doesn't it and if only we all had lives like this. But no, sadly it's a pipe dream as we are too self-centered. The modern world proclaims that each of us is a special being and that the world revolves around us. We are hung up on fashions, brand names, luxury, importance and so many other ills of this world. If only each of us would realize that we are only the size of a speck of sand in this universe. That we live only for a limited time and in most of what we do, we may hurt others. So many die lonely and bitter and it is always so sad to see this.
Love is the glue that cements our happiness and it is free.
Again, just my own thoughts.

And That's All Friends.

You make me laugh and I love that story and the photos are really awesome. 😄
The happy dance is soooo sweet.
Why humans never learn and keep on being the most selfish beings is beyond me.

Hahaha, then I laugh with you Lady Neli. Thank you and I am glad that liked the show.
They just don't understand the joy that giving brings.
