Autumn is knocking on our door.

Ever so slowly, the colors of autumn/fall are coming alive.

And also, all so slowly things in nature are starting to die.

Every one of the four seasons have their own characteristics, and Autumn is the season that is known for its colors. So, I have put together a feast of colors of this and that to share with you. Let me just say that I love flowers, but I am not a fundi on their names, as it is more the beautiful colors that draw my attention.
Come and see.

This dragonfly is a Denim Dropwing (Trithemis donaldson).
Soon all of the dragonflies will be gone and it's a sad story, as they die before winter, and then the new ones will emerge during the spring season.

Half of that yellow pond lily leaf was under the water, but look how clear the submerged part reflected its color.

I also got two new damselflies and the blue one above is of the Bluet family (Africallagma).

This damselfly above is known as a Goldtail (Allocnemis leucostica). As I said, they are both new damselflies that I have now added to my list.

Finally, there was a female carpenter bee sitting on this flower. Can you see it?

There you have it. The great color show, and amazing how it will all be gone in a few months-time. Almost like illusions. Here today, gone tomorrow, sort of thing. Winter also has its own flowers, and when winter arrives here, I will show you some of those flowers, as these in the post here were just ones that I collected for you during this week. Thankfully, we don't have very cold winters here in Africa, although some places in the country have frost, but we are lucky in our area there is no frost.

I hope you enjoyed the color show.

Your photography is very superb and if seen, the pictures of flowers you have taken, are outstanding. The most beautiful thing I find is the picture of the flower which is above the water and its color is very beautiful.

Thank you for the compliments and I am glad that you like the Lotus flower above the water.

It is not easy to take pictures like this, these bugs fly away and how long you have to sit and wait and then you can take such a beautiful picture. The result of your camera is very good.

Oh yes, a lot of patience is taught to one by nature. If you are in a hurry, then you will never get them.

Excellent dragonflies! And in the first photo, what kind of device is this? It seems to be on wheels.

Thank you, and the device on wheels are called a "Third Man". It is stripped of its parts in the photo, but they used it to sow seeds in the farming lands.

The nature looks stunning and Alive. Still kinda strange (but so logical) to realize it is at "the bottom of the world" turning into autumn and here in Europe it is going to be spring soon!

Thank you, and I agree with you that at times I also find it still strange. We all stay on one planet and one would expect the weather to be the same all over, but there's a catch, as our planet is spinning around. So, when it's night here, then it's day there. Same with the seasons as they are opposite !LOL
