Fighting twins in the bush.

The mom was with them to keep an eye, but they waited for her to take a nap.

The rising sun was about to clear the hills and we were waiting at the dam.

We saw the Cape Spurfowl mom with the two babies yesterday, but early this morning they sprang us a surprise. We were sitting at the jetty, and all of a sudden the mom and the two babies appeared. Let me tell you that we were delighted. The babies seemed to have a struggle for superiority and they kept on barging into each other and nipping each other.
So come and see what happened.

Oh yes, they had a serious issue with each other this morning.

Finally, the mom gathered them and she said; Babies, behave yourselves. Can't you see that man with the camera is watching us?

Peace reigned. (I am sarcastic of course :)

Can't get enough of this dam.

It is so peaceful and beautiful to watch the little creatures. There was a cool wind blowing this morning, but the temperature today is 37C and it is a scorcher outside. As I will show you in another post.
I must have taken about 500 bird shots of various species, that I will also show you. This is our second day in the nature reserve.
Note that I had two battles to overcome in doing this post. Firstly the power cut was due in 45 minutes, and secondly, I had to do the post in the bush on my laptop which was a real battle as my thick fingers struggle with the small keyboard.

But be this as it may, I hope that you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Yo those landscape shots seem unreal. 😱 I'm so jealous, who knows how nice and clean the air is.

I also liked the little role-play you put on for us for the birds. 😁

Thank you and mountain air is crispy and fresh, especially early in the morning before sunrise.
A post should have a good story methinks 😊

Stunning reflection across the water, Cape spurfowl what a delight right in front of you jostling about.

Gorgeous moments spent in nature, safe trip back and look forward to next round of photography from the hidden gem in the mountains.

Thank you Lady Joan, and they even went to inspect one of the boats at the dam. But I was rushing before a power cut and could only post a few photos.

Thank you for the wishes and the tipu and we are safely back home now. I will keep rolling the posts out as I have many photos.

A great place indeed, but we needed the extra two days, as only half charged up. This year seems to be the same as the Covid lockdown period, as the people are really suffering in their efforts at survival.
