Glasses and flowers.

So what does one do inside the house when it's raining outside?
015.jpg

Well, I for one look for some unusual photo opportunities. So I wonder if you can tell me what this is in the photo above?

Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. Leonardo da Vinci.

In any case, as soon as there is a break in the rain, then like a shot I go outside with my camera.
I hope that everyone had a great weekend and we wish you well for the new week.

And finally if you got my question right, yes it is a reflection of our study lamp in the window that overlooks our garden.

There are many reasons why people post in Hive and also many dedicated topics, such as gaming, finances, music, fitness and many more. I prefer to post mainly in nature topics, but I also have many other interests and many times a variety of topics can be seen in only one of my posts. The thing is to keep things interesting and easily readable.
Oh, and I also have a love for gardening.
I only mention the above as there are many newbies on Hive and I hope that some of them will read this.

And That's All Friends.

Water droplets always make flowers even more beautiful than they are anyway - lovely photos, Zac 😊

The photo of the lamp looks cool - almost like a jellyfish 😀

Thank you Hannes and I think that water droplets on a flower show us the beautiful cycle of life 😉

So you call it a jellyfish and there are another description of it in the comments by one of our mutual friends. I unfortunately knew it for what it was and was intrigued about how others would see it. It does definitely have jellyfish qualities about it 😊

Cheers and thanks.

Hahaha, me dive? Never my friend as I have claustrophobia and cannot breath in confined conditions.
But I found this strange jelly fish at the beach yesterday.

I thought about taking it out to have a look at it, but then I refrained as it might have a tail and I know the burn of their stings very well 🤣 !LOLZ

Cheers and thanks.

It looks nice, somehow like your lamp 😁 !LOLZ

Not touching it was surely a good decision because I have heard of the pain their stings can cause.

I've never seen a lamp like that. Have the power cuts stopped?

It is an old lamp from the 30s. Yes, thankfully they have stopped temporarily with the power cuts, but we don't know for how long.

Oh, an oil lamp? I guess you need one, so you aren't depending on electric. Have you considered getting solar panels?

Nope, an electrical lamp as the power is back on for now.
I am waiting for the solar panel prices to drop, as so many people want them now that the suppliers have increased the prices way beyond our affordability's.

I wonder if it might be worth looking into having some imported in bulk, if enough friends are looking to buy?

Too many doing imports already and the market is flooded. But as it arrives here the prices are adjusted upwards to match the market prices.

taking pics is not the only recommended option when its rainy; I also used to go well with books and movies xD
and, of course, !PIZZA - that is simply out of the question 🍕
very intresting cover image. before I entered the post and watched it in hi-res, judging by preview I was sure it is a great photoshopped collage of some plant under the sphere of light 🤪

You are right and I have plenty of books and very little time to read them. So you would think that a rainy day will be ideal for reading, but remember that we also run a charity and it keeps us very busy.
!LOL I do not have photoshop or any other editing programs, so I have no idea about hi-res and such things, but In know that you do

!PIZZA... did somebody say "pizza" here??! thanks, I returned home and quite hungry right now!

photoshop is handy (and especially if you shoot in raw file format), but it is all time consuming. some basic things ofc can do without it. a lot of time I use the pioneer and simplest Fast Stone image viewer for cropping / resizing / correcting the gamma, contrast etc, stuff like this.
"hi-res" means simply "high resolution", i.e. big file with a lot of pixels and good detalization. cheers!

Fast stone? The only fast stone that I know is when someone throws a fast stone at me !LOL
I have no idea what you are talking about and my camera do most of those things, as a Canon technician did the settings for me, so I click, download and post. Simple as that.

Oh and here's another !PIZZA as the other one must be finished by now.

!LOL - sorry if I confused you 😁
I mentioned this Fast Stone image viewer (please dont count that as an ad), it is the handle I use for less complicated images processing (like, files renaming, cropping, resizing, etc). more serious tasks -> Photoshop.

but I am curious -- dont you resize camera images to a smaller size, to post them?! 😶
