He found his stash...

...nature acts as the squirrels pantry where they bury their nuts.

Quite often, the squirrels forget where they bury their nuts, and the forgotten nuts start to grow into trees. Imagine if you have some flowerbeds and all of a sudden, some small trees start to grow in them, especially those special flowerbeds. I bet you will not be impressed. So, we call the squirrels nature's gardeners. But at times they remember where they bury the nuts and then they dig them up to eat. Also, at times, they dig them up in the flowerbeds and make big holes and destroy the plants. So, I did not have to guess why this little one went into the nasturtium garden as you will see below.

This below was when he was on his way to the nasturtium garden.

And then he entered it.

And I think that he had a nut in one of his paws.

Yep! I was right, as he popped up to start eating something.

I took a closer look at what he was eating but could not make it out.

Btw. I will also share the event below in a post soon, hand feeding cheese to a hungry starling, so keep an eye on my blog.

We are slowly recovering from a head flu and let me tell you that it is not so much fun as a person struggles to breathe, and coughs with a sore throat all the time. They say that it affects the respiratory system, and also comes with headaches, due to all of the coughing. I am just thankful that the coughing is abating, as it is not fun to lay sleeping and all of sudden you wake up with a sharp sting in the chest, and a raw cough.

The cough sounded like us barking at each other, and I forget to mention the sneezes as they also played havoc when one starts sneezing behind the wheel of a car, swerving like a drunken person all over the road, but like I said we are slowly improving. My wife started to look into the condition, and she discovered that many other people also have it. Some weird illnesses are going about lately, as we have never had this condition before.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

It’s not always an easy task to get close to these little guys. I’ve managed to get lucky a few times.
