His Master's Noise.

Some of you will remember the name, His Master's Voice, a record producing company years ago. Well, somehow the title of this post is apt, as whenever I played my records, my mother would complain about the noise.
Now I will show you a real noisy bugger.
045.JPG

The Pied Crow was so determined to promote the ownership of his territory, that I am sure even the mayor of the Cape Town city, far away could hear him :)

I often include some humor in my posts, as I am determined to enjoy what I am doing. Now I know not everyone is humorous, but to me it is an essential part of life. I know that not many people are fond of crows, but let me tell you that they are reckoned as the most intelligent of the bird world. What I like to see is that when the very strong winds are up, the crows love it and they go up to play in the strong air currents.
Crows are also the main watchmen of the bird communities. Whenever there are dangerous predators around, the crows will not hesitate to attack the predator and to escort it away.

At the top of his castle screaming at the world to hear him.
046.JPG

His wife took off here, and I am sure that she was on her way to the chemist to buy some earplugs :)
050.JPG

He also took off and look at that! I got him on my camera in my one hand and my coffee mug in the other hand.
052.JPG

Masters of the wind, and it helped him here to scream and to shout in another direction for all to hear.
058.JPG

Did I tell you that this guy is a noisy bugger? He carried on like this for about half an hour, and I'm sure that even the crickets know that it is his territory.
084.JPG

Something else crossed way up in the sky over the noisy scenes below.

A small family of Sacred Ibis birds came over.
081.JPG

A lovely one, two, three stack in synchronized flight.
088.JPG

There was another pair, and I loved how the sun lit up their wings.
086.JPG

And finally, the ultimate, as here they are in a full flying formation. The ex-leader is at the top and will fall back to join the line again.
006.JPG

Obviously, the small family of Ibis birds was on the way to join this final gathering, and the whole flock decided to go to the local estuary where we find the flamingos at times. Now on the same subject, the flamingos have not arrived yet, but it should be very soon. And something for us to look forward to again, as the lake is full of water. After the recent storms, all of our dams in the area are full, and the wildlife will be in abundance again at the dams. Early summer has changed a little bit over here, as we have two hot days and then two winter days in succession with some rain thrown in. I know it sounds confusing, but I can tell you that everybody here is confused about the new weather patterns.
Such is life.

I hope you have enjoyed the story and the pictures.

Pied Crows sure are noisy buggers, had two try mingle in with yellow-billed kite in feeding frenzy, sure got tacky with aerial combat couple of squabbles, tis life in Africa.

Sacred ibis sure look pretty with the sun behind their wings, nice captures once again!

Oh yes and I now know most of the crow calls. I would surely love to have seen those aerial skirmishes between the crows and the kite.

Lol! It seems the wife to the noisy burger left and never came back with the earplugs, that was why he decided to leave too...such an interesting story. It amazed me how you are able to craft a story behind every of your photos.

The wife left to get the earplugs for herself and then she went shopping 😉 !LOL
Only having fun with the stories and hoping to get a smile.

Hahaha, what a couple 😂

I hope that the weather pattern will stabilize as such changes can indeed confuse.

Just having a bit of fun in the story 😜 !LOL

Instead, they reckon that things will get worse weatherwise, and the blame is put on the El Nino effect.
