Just a beautiful day.

An early summers day, and one can really feel sprightly with these views.
236.jpg

The winds started to gather the clouds in some amazing forms, and I could only run around with my camera in amazement at the sights (10 shots).

We are now already in early summer where we shouldn't be because it is supposed to be still late spring now. Summer is only supposed to start in November month, and the provinces inland are already in the late 30C's. The news is that the Kalahari Desert has had tons of water coming down, and even the rivers are overflowing, but here by us there is still no rain. The nights here are still cold, but during the day the temperatures average about 20-21C's.

I have a wide variety of shots in here as the winds were at play, and it always results in spectacular sights. Not one day goes past that the cloud patterns take on different shapes, so one cannot say it is the same-old, same-old because of the differences of the cloud forms. The tag picture above is my favorite, and it was really stunning to see the lovely colors in the picture when I transferred the photos from my camera on to the PC.
Come and see.

This shot below was the view in the sky when we left our house early this morning, and I just knew that something was up.

And so, we went out to go and explore. Now I am not going to yap between the pictures, as each can tell its own story to you.

Finally, this was the last view when we returned to our home.

Not really the last picture, as I have taken many more, but I only picked some now to show my normal 10 shots per post. A funny thing is, in the past some people suggested that I must rather only put 4 or 5 pictures, but I want to do quality posts, and according to me 10 is the perfect amount, as there is so much to talk about the shots. I don't know if that's the right way to go about it, but it works for me.

Again, I have to stress that maybe these clouds are the forerunners of the El Nino weather system, as nothing looks normal and the talk is that is going to be the worst weather system that the African continent has ever had. You can see that the weather is already running amok in the other countries. I know I keep on hammering about the El Nino, but the sole reason is that things are only going to get worse and we are worried about our peoples' safety, especially in the townships.
Such is life.

I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.

The cloud formations are genuinely stunning, Zac. You can feel the energy of that wind just looking at these shots.

I agree with your 10-photo rule. Cloud photography works best as a sequence because each frame captures a different mood or shape. Cutting it down to 4 or 5 would lose the story of how the sky evolved over the day. The "no yap" approach between pictures is smart too — let the images breathe.

Your concern about El Niño is valid and worth repeating. People tend to ignore weather warnings until the damage is done, especially in vulnerable areas like townships where infrastructure can't handle extreme conditions. Better to sound repetitive now than silent later.

Also, props on sticking to real photography with no AI or heavy editing. In an era of generated images, authentic shots from a bridge camera carry more weight. The colors you saw through the lens are what make these special.

Stay safe out there, and keep capturing those skies. Shalom!
