Late afternoon on the roof.

There is a song, "Up on the roof" by "The Drifters" that is very fitting for this post.

If you can't see it from the ground level of the house, then simply climb on the roof. So I spent some time in the late afternoon yesterday on the roof. I always talk about spending time out in nature, in order to clear one's mind, and this song also seems to agree with me, if you read the words of the song.
Come and see what I got.

Firstly, I had to find a spot on our roof that eliminates the roof tops of the other houses.

Finally, I knew that it would rain soon - which it did, heavily last night.

Here is the lyrics of the song.

The Drifters, Up on the Roof, 1962.

When this old world starts getting me down
And people are just too much for me to face (Up on the roof)
I climb way up to the top of the stairs
And all my cares just drift right into space (Up on the roof)

On the roof, it's peaceful as can be
And there, the world below can't bother me
Let me tell you now
When I come home feeling tired and beat
I go up where the air is fresh and sweet (Up on the roof)

I get away from the hustling crowds
And all that rat race noise down in the street (Up on the roof)
On the roof's the only place I know
Where you just have to wish to make it so
Let's go up on the roof (Up on the roof)

At night, the stars put on a show for free
And, darling, you can share it all with me
I keep-a tellin' you
Right smack dab in the middle of town
I found a paradise that's trouble-proof (Up on the roof)

And if this world starts getting you down
There's room enough for two up on the roof (Up on the roof)
Up on the roof (Up on the roof)
Oh, come on, baby (Up on the roof)
Oh, come on, honey (Up on the roof)
Everything is all right (Up on the roof)

And so if life gets you down, simply pop up on the roof :)

A happy Sunday to all and I hope that you enjoyed the post.

I can just see you climbing up on the roof like a naughty school boy, you're taking a chance young man😜 but wow, that must have been so worth it! The photos are stunning, those thick cottonwool clouds look gorgeous, although some look quite ominous!
You must be keeping well to get up to these antics, blessings to you and Marian 🙏😊

Hahaha, I was down in the street taking photos of a Guinea fowl and her babies. Then when I walked back I saw the tips of the mountains with the clouds above inviting me to get on the roof.
The small boy inside me jumped for you when I took the ladder out and the rest is history 🤣 !LOL

I knew that rain was expected in the night, but we only had a short heavy downpour, as the clouds all moved inland. This morning I read that there were floods in Tshwane and elsewhere.

Trying to keep well and now prepping for a colonoscopy on Tuesday, as they are trying to find the location of the internal bleeding.

Blessings also to you guys and I hope that the new week will be good 🤞🙏❤️

Oh my word, the colonoscopy prep is the worst, I said never again. At least you'll get a total internal spring-cleaning.
I do hope they find the cause soon, it's been a long while now? Take care young man, no more climbing up the roof😉

Done that once before some years ago milady, with no result, so yes, it is not a nice procedure.
This thing has been going on for a long time and my iron levels are critical, so we hope and pray that this time they can sort it out. I had two ferratin transfusions after they did the stent operation (3 stents in lower abdomen), but the transfusions didn't help to restore my iron levels.
Tomorrow, I start with the sachets and it is a nasty business.

No more climbing on the roof for this week 🤣 !LOL

Blessings.

Definitely no climbing anywhere except on the throne once you start those sachets😅😅😅
Good luck, I'll be thinking of you...but seriously, I pray that they find out what's causing the bleeding🙏
