Not normal methinks.

So what do you do during discussions in the doctor's rooms?
034.jpg

Well, the doctor's room is on the second floor of the hospital and I forgot about all of my hurts when I saw this through his window.

So I politely excused myself from his findings for a few minutes and my camera was very happy. Earlier this day, this same doctor performed a colonoscopy procedure on me and I was still a bit happy in the head since I woke up after the anesthetic. A few days ago he shoved a camera down my throat and yesterday he shoved a camera up somewhere else. The thing that I hated most was the preparation for the colon camera, as one has to drink a series of sachets to clean the stomach completely, the previous day.

Then one has to sleep with a rumbling and unhappy stomach and the next day, before the procedure it is one last sachet and nil to eat per mouth until 2:30pm when the procedure gets done. I was as weak as a baby kitten and shaking like a leaf and the cup of coffee that I was given after I woke up was better than a ton of gold to me.
But I digress and come and see what I got from his rooms.

Psst. I have to hurry as we have another power cut due very soon.

This below was the first thing that we saw when I parked our car at the hospital. We live in a town by the way.

A bit of the roof in the photo below as we were on the 2nd floor.

So I asked my camera to wander a bit further out on the zoom!

No matter where I go, nature calls out to me and my camera accompanies me everywhere that I go. It is like a pain inside me if I cannot see nature, as I am so one with it. It tells me that everything is fine and things are as they should be. In its embrace I find a supreme solace in my soul and it fills me with comfort to know that I am not alone, as Mother nature holds my hand. This might sound dilly to some, but I am a dilly guy :)
Besides, who wants to be normal? Many of us strive to be seen as normal, but in the process, we lose our true selves. I cling to my true self, and I refuse to be categorized by life. Simple and true.

I hope that you have enjoyed my visit to the doctor's rooms.

And That's All Friends.

The one thing not "normal" methought was that straight line of trees in front of the mountains... ha, what a funny site.

That straight line of trees performs an important function. They act as a windbreak for the storm winds that come over the mountain and it protects the plantings in the land below it :)

Ah, i see... like the "dirt walls" they have here in Brittany around the fields to protect the plantations from the winds coming from the ocean.

Still funny that's the "only" one you can see there. Hehehe

I don't wanna be called normal because I know I'm not, there's just this thin line that keep us like normal 😅 . Yeah I feel you. every time I see nature like that, I can its calling. Get well soon whatever it is ,I know that wasn't very comfortable procedure you've undergo.

Oh yes, to bow down and be ruled is not my sense of fun. We were created to enjoy life in our own ways and that should be as it is in my case. Mother nature certainly has a nice and loving call.
So many have more serious issues than mine and I just thankful that I am slowly improving.

A few days ago he shoved a camera down my throat and yesterday he shoved a camera up somewhere else.

That guy sounds like someone I would try to avoid 🤣 And does he really deserve that view 😂

Normal is boring :) ... And it's no fun, either!

Oh yes, he deserves that view, as he is a very good doctor. Even gave me a discount 😉
Boring indeed and totally agreed.

I'm glad you got a discount :) That being said, a really great doctor would find a way to do these things without shoving anything up or down 🤣

Thanks and nope, sadly a camera is the only way. The problem is that there are parts that the camera can't reach and it's always a problem. I might have to go for different scans, but I hope not 😉

Hopefully everything is ok, and you won't have to see the inside of that place for another year :) ...

I hope they get to the bottom of your ills. I hate being hungry, it must have been dreadful all that prep for the scope.

That is all incredible view from the window though!

Thank you and let me tell you that the preparation part was the worst part of the procedure.
They hand you a box with 4 sachets inside and a letter with the instructions. So at 8am the previous day, 1 sachet must be taken with a glass of water. Only a light breakfast is allowed after. Then a light lunch, only a piece of fish or a piece of chicken. The second sachet is taken at 4pm and 3 liters of water must be drunk during the day. By now you want to die. Then at 8pm the 3rd sachet. Herafter the fun starts as you will visit the toilet 10 times during the night and only sleep for 3 hours. (They don't say this in the letter).
Finally the next day it is nil per mouth and the last sachet is taken at 8am.
The long wait starts then and you will keep the toilet busy with only water coming out. The actual procedure is booked for 2:30pm in the afternoon.

Never again mate, but here's a !BEER fer ya!

3 liters of water, yikes! My brother had to do it and he hated the whole days preparation!

Ah! My stomach bloomed like a balloon! I think that everyone hates that procedure and I feel so sorry for children and very old people that have to do it.

Yep! If I had that view I would live in my office 😜
Glad that you liked the photos and I am indeed recovering slowly. Fortunately I like to walk and that's a great help.
Exactly, as we all need nature to survive.

Blessings!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful view from the hospital window with us, in between the final flush and the procedure! I also said never ever again to that prep, hubby eventually brought a chair into the loo in the middle of the night so I could slumber the night away from that chair to the seat with a hole in it😂
The procedure is nothing, but why they schedule it for the afternoon, still beats me. I felt exactly like you!
I hope they can help stop your problem @papilloncharity 🙏

My pleasure to share and glad that you enjoyed the view Lady Lizzie.
Ah! So you know exactly what I am talking about and that prep is sheer hell.
Glad that you could make a plan and I must have walked a mile up and down to the toilet 🤣
I think that they do the procedure late to ensure that the patient is totally empty. In the head and in the stomach 😜

The doctor has a great reputation and I am sure that if anyone can figure it out, he can 🙏
