Daddy please help as I don't know what this woman is doing with my treats. Little Troy gave me a desperate look.

He was barking insistently, as it is his way to ask for a treat and Marian decided to try something new with him.
So she opened his two little buckets of treats, laid them on the low stool and invited him to select the one that he likes.
So let's see what little Troy does.

Very attentively Troy studied his treats in this unfamiliar situation. A "should I", "shouldn't I" situation.

Or maybe a "what if" scenario as he considered his options.

The opportunity was right in front of him, but he hesitantly kept on doubting his options.

He needed a little prodding and Marian told him that daddy will take his treats.

Oh yes, that's all she needed to say as he decided to go for it come what may.

So how many times has this happened to you and me?
The opportunity is right there for the taking, but we hesitate and doubt, considering our options. The sad thing is that many times others grab the opportunity before we make the decision to go for it. And then we are left cursing ourselves for missing it. You can call it bad luck, or whatever, but it always boil down to our own insecurities and hesitancies.

When I think back to all of the golden opportunities that I missed it really leaves a sour taste in my mind. But then I console myself by telling myself that the missed opportunities were not really meant for me.
So I sit in a bus on my way to work and the guy that grabbed my opportunity comes driving past in his new sports car. With the roof down of course.

Enough chat and so what is the lesson here.

A simple lesson, say to yourself today, Myself, this new year I am not going to hesitate and I am going to grab every opportunity that comes my way.

I think we are not enough brave to grab the opportunity, even if we know that we will probably be succesful. Commonly, we try to grab it in a wrong time therefore we have already missed the chance.

Aw, Troy just doesn't like being rushed into make hasty decisions! He reminds me of myself when the server comes too soon and I'm still trying to decide what to order between two things on the restaurant's menu.
Me: 👱‍♀️💬"Try something new or the tried and true?"😳🥺🤯

I must ask, what were the two flavors offered to Troy?
