Some great news here. I was accepted as a nature photographer member today.

The renowned Photographic Society of South Africa granted me a licensed card today and now I can compete with the top nature photographers in the country.

They are also affiliated to the International Photographic Society and maybe I can strike a luck like I did when my Violet Dropwing dragonfly was published in an international wildlife magazine.
So just maybe this is the break that I need to keep myself active :)

Today I have some lovely winged creatures for you to see.

This is the Elusive Skimmer that's visiting our garden now. (Orthetrum rubens)

I think that at some time I must go and scratch in my files to put together photos of the Big 5 to show you in a post.
The Big 5, is a popular name brand for the following five animals. Elephant, Rhino, African Buffalo, Lion and the Leopard.
I think they should have made it the big 8, as no mention of the Giraffe, Crocodile, or Cheetah.

Any case it is getting late here and I still have a lot of work waiting for me, so I will say Adios until tomorrow.

Just glad that I was accepted Hannes, as I do take photos in any case every day.
It's just that I found a home now for the ones that I consider special.

There is a downside to it, as I have to attend a club meeting every month. They will obviously be discussing technical stuff that I have no interest in, but such is life.
Maybe they will serve good coffee and then I will tolerate it.

Thank you kindly Lady Robin and now the future for my photography world looks a bit rosier.

In the meantime things are also taking off in our charity work and here is a sneak preview for you of the latest interview by a newspaper. I will do a post about it one of these days, just to show everyone that we are the real deal and to thank all of our supporters.

You guys of course also have a share in this, as you are helping me to build the Papillon account that will secure our future work.

@farm-mom I just saw the warning from keys-defender and you know that I will never endanger anyone as our record on hive is clean.

It is a local link that we use for a registered newspaper.
Imibala has also used this link on Facebook with no problems.

So what I will do is I will delete this link and rather get the full URL to send to you.

Yes you know me and this heat and the work can drain a person. So my walks in mature is my emotional release and if I get the odd special photo here and there, then I will certainly enter it.
