On the wings of the winds.

Some lovely shots here for you to enjoy today.

A hot day at 36Celsius with some high speed winds on show.

The power was off as usual, but today we only took one trip out, as we had work to do before the next power cut. You will see photos here that I took while driving around with the car's air-conditioner open on full. One doesn't want to sit in the sun on a day like this as a UV warning was sent out and sunburn is not a very pleasant experience. Skin cancer is also a danger, and we rather selected the safe route to stay in the car. Not always, as to get a few close up shots, I had to nip out with my camera.
Come and have a look.

This was the sight when we left our house and turned the first corner.

A stop at our favorite local park, as the mountains drew me like a magnet.

And then down to the golf course.

Yay! I got a pair of Water Thick-knee Waders (Burhinus vermiculatus).

This shot was taken from the road as we traveled back to the mountains.

And the wind was still playing around with the cloud strips above the mountain range.

Finally, it was time for us to fly home.

So many days and so many lovely sights, and they say that February is our hottest month. So January must get finished now, so that we can handle the heat in February month. Then, one of our favorite seasons will arrive from March to June. Cool days and one can go around far and wide without the incredibly high UV ray danger.
So some more hot days to cope with, but we will endure.
It is the power cuts that are slowly draining our energies and it is becoming a real difficult time in our lives.
We simplify as much as we can, but sadly everyone here is struggling. Not only to make ends meet, but also in the hours lost where income could have been earned. A debilitating situation that is seemingly not going to go away soon, as they reckon that it will last for another few years (if not more).
Such is life here.

I hope that you have enjoyed the story and the pictures.

And That's All Friends.

Hey there. Good shots.

I'm just wondering how the charity is going, you don't say anything about it now and I can see you've not taken any of the funds you're earning so they're not going there. You've shut it down?

Hi there,

Thank you for the interest. I have recently (22 days ago) posted a summary of Papillon's work and it contains excerpts from the annual report that we by law have to submit to the Social department of government every year. Papillon has an outstanding record and we are now in its 22nd year.
Have a look at the pinned post on my blog.

If things go according to plan Hive will play a big role in Papillon's work when the time arrives and full disclosure of the transfer into the Papillon account and the purpose of the funds will be posted.
No thoughts of shutting down in my lifetime and hopefully also thereafter.

Thank you and I am relieved of one of my big worries.
Any case I am waiting for the doctors to mail me the admission time, and I have decided not to post every day anymore as it takes too much out of me.

Oh man, I feel for you and now I can see that you have no wide grass filled fields over there. South Africa is a big country and we have thousands of pristine acres of several types of grasses here. Including many mountains and nature.
Maybe you can visit sometime in the future.

These are "actual clouds" not the chemtrails we're getting in here.

Thankfully we don't have chemtrails over here, so yes, they are very real clouds my friend.

Despite appearing hugely threatening, the clouds are enough to ease my anxiousness today. I felt reconnected to nature, as well.

Also, may I save some of these photos? Just so I have something to look back at in times when I need a diversion the most.

It is a soft reminder of nature's strength and you have that same inner strength my friend. All that you need to do is to guide your inner strength to control your emotions. It sounds easy, but I know it's not and yet it can be done.

You are welcome to save the photos that you want.

Blessings on your road.
