Phew! What a smell.

He said to me; Zac would you have a happy face if you were to live down here?
095.jpg

Just a look at this little Pug dog's facial expression told me that he was not a happy chappy :)

We are fortunate to have both nature and the sea to take walks during the power cuts here. People are very angry about the struggles created by the power cuts and you can imagine what it's like if a mother has to make food for her family and the power is off.
But let me rather show you some dog shots at the beach in the usual lighthearted manner.
Come and look.

I bet you that the Pug above would have a big smile on his face if he saw this lovely little lady.

And now the time has arrived for some action.

Wait! His master said.
410.JPG

Sit! And he obeyed.
411.JPG

GO! And he took off like a rocket.

And now for a bit of seriousness! Marian was on a slow walk when this little guy (Jack Russel) came along.

432.JPG

There she was with her green bag picking up waste and plastic on the beach sand.
434.JPG

Now imagine if every beach visitor had a bag to collect the littered rubbish on the sand. It would really improve the debilitating conditions that kill the ocean life. But as usual I have an idea.
What if I were to get a few rolls of degradable cloth and I get some volunteers to sew the cloth into bags. Then I will get a few volunteers to stand at the beach entrances and to hand the bags to each person that steps onto the beach. We can place big signs at each volunteer post that reads;
Thank you for the visit and please only leave your footprints on the sand
I wonder if this would work?

What do you think?

And That's All Friends.

Power cut is indeed a Big Trouble for Citizens. It's something horrible in my country.

this little Pug dog's facial expression is so cute !LOL

Marian and Jack Russel doing the Good Job. It's really Great to see the positive message through this topic. Really what we need is being responsible and taking care of our surroundings.

Some Good positive Vibes around. Awesome mate.

Agreed and also severe troubles for the country's economy. Sad that it is also in your country.

Hahaha, I had to laugh at his cute expression !LOL

So essential for everyone to start to take responsibility for the surroundings. If only people will start to realize the trouble that we are in but then again, so many just don't care.

I love the dog pictures, especially the big one playing ball :)

Then I will get a few volunteers to stand at the beach entrances and to hand the bags to each person that steps onto the beach.

That's not really a viable option, as people are always coming and going... Why not just make a small structure (like the little library box in one of the posts I saw here on Hive). Put up a sign, and you are all set 🙌

Boxes and signs without human interaction will not work here. A law must be made to ban littering and we would have to tell every beach visitor that it is against the law to throw things down on the beach.

I think that a return to biodegradable paper wrapping should be done.

Paper is definitely safer. Really, what can we do with a ripped plastic bag???

True, paper is not only safer, but also biodegradable. A ripped plastic bag means a certain death for some animal, or fish. Depends on where it ends up.

Hopefully people will learn to use the garbage bins 😢

We spoke about that today and I said that this world is full of crap and every time I step into it !LOL
When I took photos of buzzards in flight, my eyes were on the sky and I stepped into a huge landmine that some dog left for me. Cost me to take my shoes off and wash them before I could get into the car.

Education is key. You can hand them all the bags they want, but, unless they are educated on why or they had good parents that taught them, it won't get done. You can leave bags at the entrance and hope they take one.

My parents taught us to not be a litterbug. As a parent, it was their job to see that we were good citizens. I never threw trash - ever. What happened to parents?

That is the crux of the matter. Education. The problem is that so many have no parents and there are so many other reasons. It is a massive problem over here and I am afraid that we will not win the anti-littering battle. If we leave bags unguarded at the entrances, they will be stolen and sold for personal gain.

A friend's wife told us yesterday that she was driving with a friend and said friend opened the car widow to throw an empty packet of whatever he was eating out through the window. She asked him why and he said that it was for job creation! He reckoned that the street cleaners needed their jobs.
Just to show you how skewed the thinking is over here.

Thank you for the kind donation and please know that it is appreciated Lady Denise 🙏❤️🙏
