Real and wonderful sights.

Just to take a gentle walk and to feel the fragrant breeze of the mountain air on your cheek.

We wanted to see the new spring season changes and the colors on this large wine estate and we were impressed by the sights.

Winter is done now and we are not yet in the blaze of the hot African summer sun. Mild to warm temperatures are ideal for walks in nature and a crescendo of bird songs and other sounds bring the new growth to life.
Lovely colors, blossoms and smells abound, the bees zoom and the butterfly's fly.
So come and join us to see the beauty.

That yellow low wall behind the squirrel basking on an old tree log, surrounds the grave of the original owner of the farm. So it was a lovely and silent setting.
I have photos and the name and dates of the grave in my files somewhere and maybe I must do a post about the history of the place again.

Massive clouds, imposing mountains and the gentlest of gentle small animals makes a combined assault on one's eyes and ears and there are way too many to see on a day's walk. We only walk for maximum of an hour and it is enough to make us feel energized with life and love.
A huge difference from the old place where we used to work up north having to stare at the tall concrete buildings of a big city every day, this new area has given us new life and it is indeed a great pleasure to get out as soon as we can, always with my camera of course.
So, I hope that you enjoyed the show today.

Thank you it is indeed a splendid area and I share your love for the vineyards and the wineries. Even though I don't drink :)
Still cold early morning and evenings, but we are gradually heating up. Had 18C here today and I saw that other provinces in the country are already in the 30Cs.

We are much the same you and I my friend when it comes to; Beauty is in the eye of the beholder", as I also love these kinds of pictures. Waiting now for a hot wind still day to go and play with more reflections in the dams around here.
Spring is the time for new life and summer is knocking on the door.

Thank you and no need to be jealous, as it all also belongs to you. And the good thing about it is that it is all free!
All that you need to do is to go out and find your own sanctuary in nature. All countries have them.

Not been up right at the top of the mountains, but only halfway up.

Walking is slowly becoming a real issue for me, but I simply endure and carry on.

Great news, the doctor gave me a date for the operation and now all that remains is to pray that the medical aid will also give the go ahead.
