Really talented artists here in the Cape.

I will show you some of the latest works and one can only stare in disbelief at the detailed efforts that the works entail.

It seems like this chap above is taking a dim look at life.

We have many artists here in South Africa that come from other countries on the African continent and so many of them are truly talented. It is always amazing to see the works that they come up with and today I will show you some of the ones that we liked. Not that we can afford any, as they are priced for the tourist market and it's a pity, as due to the low value of our Rand (ZAR), the locals cannot afford things that are Dollar priced.
But one can at least look and be amazed.

This is John, and he is one of the artists that put their works on display.

There were also works by other artists that I have mixed in here with John's stuff.

Wildlife is greatly featured here, as it plays such an important role in Africa, but the African lifestyles are also on show. Then of course, nature and flowers are also all over in the paintings. Other topics such as cars, donkey carts, farming, carvings and a range of wire works are also displayed. Crafts like beadwork, sculptures, clocks, knives, dolls, and clothing are also available.
So, one can spend an hour or two to just walk around and to stare at everything, and simply enjoy the beauty of the works. We come here often, and if we had the bucks most of those artworks would be displayed in our house :)
