Some beautiful changes...when two winds meet.

The sky is the garden of the soul and the playground of the winds.
271.JPG

So, let me show you what the first sight of this picture turns into.

I want to show you how picturesque the winds can change the appearances of clouds in the sky. Especially at sunset, as no cloud can remain constant in the sky when two winds from different directions meet each other. In this case, the winds from the mountains in the east met with the opposing winds from the sea in the west. Now when it is near sunset and there are some clouds involved, then you can prepare for a great show. I have seen this often, and I can never get tired of it, as it is spellbinding.

So, at first, we take a look towards the south where things looked a bit calmer and watch what happened to the leading yellowish cloud at the right.

The opposing wind simply blossomed the cloud into a lovely bloom.

Right, now for the change of the cloud in the first picture.

The driving wind from the mountains in the east, and the opposing wind from the ocean in the west, simply tipped the cloud upright.

But the opposing western wind from the sea was winning, as it started to level the cloud.
276.JPG

It was slowly getting darker, but I liked the way that the bottom cloud crowned the tree.

And finally, the wind from the west won the fight, as the cloud was almost level again.

I love the "V" formations that the birds fly in, and they have taught our modern jet fighter planes how to fly in formation.

Amazing the things that we as mankind has learned and applied the things that nature teaches. So many lessons since times began, and there are many examples of what I am saying. But nowadays we feel that we don't need nature anymore, as developments are taking place all over the show in wetlands, and wetlands form an integral part in nature, as they filter the water that flows into the rivers. Plastic is also nature's enemy number 1.
Of course, populations are growing and old infrastructure that has not kept up with the times, and overflows sewerage and all kinds of rubbish into the sea. Thankfully we have not learned how to build cities in the sky yet, but we try our best to pollute the sky with our toxic gases and smoke.
Should we be proud? Definitely not, as without nature mankind will end.

I hope you have enjoyed the story and the pictures.

I could stare into the sky in the evening for a while because we underrate how beautiful it is.

Underrate is correct, as so many walk around staring down at the ground, or at their mobile screens!

Nope, you are simply one of the skywatching club, as we all notice these things.

Oh how well said - 'without nature mankind will end.' When we can't escape our earthly bonds, we can sail the skies with our eyes and minds. Two cloud systems meet in the sky - at war or as lovers....beautiful shots!

Thank you and yes, it's true as without nature there can be no life. The sky can at least grant us succor as one day when we are no more, then we will indeed sail the skies.
Thank you for your appreciation.

Nature is ours to nurture, if we don't we all in for a big surprise.

Skies above..., West fighting East reminiscent of bad attitude held by humans below!

Humans have lost art of debate, discussion, or simply letting people get on with life. Interfering in regions they know little to nothing about, where posturing leaders seek limelight is getting majority nowhere.

We back to hot, towns strewn with filth everywhere, strike action still ongoing, gone from bad to worse.

Covid is responsible for a lot of anxieties and suspicions, so much so that most people have become desperate. Amazing just before a voting period how the leaders go out to all of a sudden care for the people. Empty electioneering stints.

Yes, I read an article today about the heat and the illegal strike. Some say that there is a political motive behind it.

Cannot trust anyone, no party simply jumps out declaring good moral drive bar one or two, hopefully a mixed bag filling seats will help, we know that can hinder process as well.

Illegal strike going into 3rd week, you cannot believe (perhaps you can) the filth everywhere with people dumping. Long road of cleaning, now to start all over again without any assistance from Ethekweni, ANC and EFF who have run this region into the sewer!

Bad news all round and empty promises flowing like a flood. And all of it just to get to the money trough.

Yes, I saw some pictures today of the litter mountains next to the roads and it looks terrible. They will have to sort that strike out soon, as things are just going to get worse.

What you see next to the roads most will end up getting into rivers. Domino effect, people with no pride or mental aptitude toward working with crises situations spells out disaster!

People just don't care, as everyone has become desperate due to the broken promises of a better life. Moral is down, and survival has become a desperate struggle. So we will see much more than this.

It's no wonder eather patterns are changing and that there are so many natural disasters all over the world.
But those clouds are fascinating. I love seeing the birds fly in formation like that. We don't see it here in Durban but I saw many large flocks of birds flying in formation, it was beautiful!

Oh yes, we think that the weather is angry, and I don't blame it.
Thank you as the clouds will never stop fascinating me, and I can watch them for hours. No formation flying in Durban? That is not good news. Flying in formation is indeed beautiful.
