Spectacular storm advancing clouds.
The weatherman has booked the next 3 days for rain storms, and we are happy.

Even though the temperatures drop, we are happy as we need the rain to fill our dams. In here you will see how the winds play with the first storm's cloud advance (10 shots).
I think I told you before about all the rain that recently fell in the Kalahari Desert, and that just goes to show how crazy the weather patterns are here lately. Imagine kayaking on a river that runs through a desert, especially if the river has been dry for many years. Now here by us at the extreme southern tip of the African continent there is also much drama in the northern inland of our country as the people are sweltering under severe heatwaves. Late 30C's and early 40's, while by us we sit with a low of 15C.
My new style of blogging is not to capture each picture anymore, as I want them to tell their own stories to tell the readers. Sadly, readers have become extinct on Hive, and it is nothing like the early days where there was always a strong reader contingent. The world is in a hurry, and I don't know if you noticed but time flies nowadays. The old saying that time waits for no one is still so very true. I can remember a time when an hour felt like half a day, and now an hour feels like 20 minutes.
But I talk too much, and let's look at the pictures of the advancing storm.
A helicopter up top, and a bird down below.
And now some shots later in the day.
This told me that the dark rain clouds will soon start to appear, and now in hindsight it rained throughout the night. We could hear the drumming sound of the rainfall on our roof, and it is so nice to lay in bed and to listen to nature's water drummers playing their tunes on the roof.
I have taken more shots that I will post in the future.
We just hope that there will be no floods or serious damages like roofs blown off, and the wind tipping trucks on the highways. Thankfully the first rains are very tame, and it has more of a drenching effect. I even popped out to take flowers with raindrops on them that I will also show soon and then of course, the two little squirrels that we have here were very wet, but I think that they are used to it. So cute to see them when they drop in to beg for some nuts. The little laughing doves seem to inflate themselves by fluffing up their feathers to protect them against the wet and the cold. I wish we had automatic raincoats, like the wildlife has.
Such is life.
I hope you enjoyed the pictures and the story.
