The African Harrier Hawk.

Here I will show you the fear of the small birds and I know it as a Gymnogene.
155.jpg

Why they changed the name I do not know, as the name of a Gymnogene specifically pointed to the fact that this is the only raptor that can climb trees. The bird has double-jointed knees so it can land at the bottom of a tree and simply climb up on it.
One day I hope to get one in the climbing action to show you as it is fascinating to watch him searching the branches for bird nests.
Come and look.

I also like to show the context in which I took the photos and the sun was darkened by rain clouds.
Can you see the moon in the picture below?

And finally this was our moon on the day.
045.JPG

I took the photos four days ago and sadly we had no sight of the full moon last night, as the rain clouds covered the skies. It was still raining this morning and now almost at 12 noon there is a break in the rain.
We only have 3 days left here and are as busy as squirrels packing boxes and stuff. Every now and then I pop into the garden to see what's happening with the weather and every time it is still cloudy with threatening rain.
Such is life here at the moment and I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures.

Saw the moon in clear sky last night, no photography stood and enjoyed last minutes before locking up.

Talons and big birds I put a couple up seen on our holiday, birds most definitely capture our imagination!

Lucky you as I so wished that I could see it, but our sky was a black board.

I saw that post and upvoted, but had no time to comment, such as now as I am rushing to get the replies done before the next power cut.

Thank you kindly for the tipu my friend.

Forever chasing time with power outages, although we have not started rolling black outs yet, still affects the connections down the line, placing a damper on internet connection.

Can only do what we can do...

Bad news indeed Lady Joan and yes, we also struggle with the signal here.
I have to wait for at least half an hour after the power comes back on before I can start the PC.

But we all endure.

Thank goodness I don't have a phone and I only converse on my PC. I only communicate on my pc, but it's the same, as when the signal is down then I am also helpless.
Hope that your Saturday was also good.

Phone primarily used for short data messages, very few actually phone. Most is done on PC, when connections go down, everything affected with power outages so makes no difference how many devices one may have !LOLZ

Good day @papilloncharity, I hope the move goes smoothly and you quickly settle in. Let's hope the power works better in the new place.

Greetings Lady Robin, thank you and tomorrow is our last day here. There are still many small things to get into boxes, but we are almost done with the packing.
The power will be the same as we will still be in the same area, but thankfully the noise will not be a problem anymore. I like quiet and it's going to be a great help.

Blessings and !LUV
