The stage was set for nature's concert.

Nature was preparing to present us with a spectacular show.

I will show closeup shots first followed by the full scenario of each closeup.

We found a new place with a long verandah that looks out on the ocean, and I was waiting for the ideal time to go there and to take some sunset shots. It is a new shopping mall near the mountains, and it was a perfect setting to view the vast open Atlantic Ocean. We don't get these sunsets every day, as I have learned to keep an eye on the clouds as they always deliver some spectacular shows. Maybe, you will agree that it's an ideal place to get the sunset from.

Here below was the cause of the floodlight on the stage.

And another full picture of the closeup shot.

Right, now you know that I have placed a closeup shot first, with a full picture afterwards, so come and enjoy the rest of the pictures below. I have a particular like for the last two pictures, or maybe the last four pictures, but you can decide which ones you like.

The great thing about this, is that I can stand with a mug of coffee in my hand to take the photos, as the balcony that I stood on was at the front of a Woolworths restaurant in the new mall. I am sure that over time I will get some other interesting shots of birdlife and other goings on in the sky. On the horizon towards the right, one can also see the famous "Table Mountain" in the Cape Town city, but unfortunately it was too dark for me to get a shot of it, so I will have to take some pictures of it during the day to show you.

At the back of the shopping center is our Hottentots-Holland mountain range, and I am sure that from my vantage point I will also be able to get some nature and wildlife shots there. On the horizon towards the left of the ocean, one can also see how the mountain ends inside the ocean, which I have shown before from the beach, but it looks so much more beautiful from this new spot. So, I will have to go and get some daylight pictures there to show you.

I hope you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

Such beautiful sights and it seems even more beautiful when unveiled slowly like this. It encourages one to slow down and appreciate each shot. It reminds me of meeting new friends...how you slowly peel away the layers and get to know the heart of the people. I like it!

Thank you and my thought was to do things a bit different with the images, by placing the close up shots first. It seemed to work and I am glad that you appreciated it. I also like how you ever so gently described the post, by peeling away the layers to erase the first appearances.
