Time now to go out and show you nature's beauty.

Plenty of time as some of the power cuts have now increased to 4-hour periods.
405.jpg

So now we get 2x2hour and 2x4hour power cuts daily. Enough time for me get many beauties, but not enough time to post, as many hours offline.

Don't get me wrong, I am not complaining here, as in this post I want to show you some more of the beauty in our area. We went to a wine farm, at about this time last year and I remembered the sunflowers. I posted some sunflower and mountain landscapes at the time and I got lucky to get some more today, with an added beautiful surprise. Don't take my word for it, as you can see the surprise in the two photos below.

380.jpg

The two Painted Lady butterflies (Vanessa cardui) surprised me, as before I could only get bees on the sunflower heads.
422.JPG

As usual my wife sauntered off with her bags to collect acorns below the trees and please don't tell her, but I really don't like to carry the heavy nut filled bags to our car over a very long distance :)
020.JPG

All in order to spoil these little brats back at home :)
001.JPG

Nothing wrong to share a lovely reflection here.
313.JPG

Just a shot to show you some mountain layers behind this part of the sunflower field.
397.JPG

I wonder how many times, we have walked this road, but it is very good for our legs. I am still struggling with a critically low iron level, but that would hopefully be sorted out this month.
131.JPG

Beautiful, isn't it?
035.JPG

Rolling clouds coming in.
126.JPG

Yep! Some heavy clouds were slowly moving in and I had to scurry around to find my shots in the sunny parts. I will do another post to show you how an incoming cloud swallows the mountains.
002.JPG

And there you have it, yet another show of lovely landscapes and life. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to take a walk near the mountains, as the fresh air fills one with energy. So much so, that my wife collected 3 full bags of acorns and other nuts for our squirrels.
But there was also a dramatic change in the weather, and I waited to see if I could get some shots of the effects of the clouds on the landscapes. It was worth the wait, but you will have to also wait for my next post to see what I mean.
Our next power cut is close, and I will have to end things here.

I hope that you have enjoyed the pictures and the story.

And That's All Friends.

Wow! Sun flowers started to bloom and they looks so good. I remember our walk in the pet empire before where they also have sun flowers.

I really love these. And the one of the reflection too. Kinda spoke to me. It must be heaven anytime you are out and about in such places. You gotta love squirrels. I watched a video where one tried to fit a whole into his mouth with another. It was hilarious how frustrated he looked.

it's a shame, power outages can hamper work activities in your area, in my place the name of this flower is (sunflower) whose seeds are made as a snack food called kwaci seeds. you are very professional in taking pictures👍

Yes, a shame indeed. Over here they make cooking oil from the sunflower seeds and also health biscuits. Nothing professional, as I only have a good camera.

Wow.... this is amazing. I wonder how you get to taking the pictures without the butterflies fluttering away. And the squirrels. Is it that you zoom from a distance, that you're extra careful or they just feel safe around you.

Thank you and some are zoom and the others are close by. The secret is to move around very slowly with no rash movements.

Yep! We are in the last month of August and towards the end, the temps will start to drop. Fortunately our winters are not very cold, as this is Africa.

Awww, very beautiful sunflowers in bloom, my dear friend! How I love to explore in this beautiful garden. You have a very breathtaking place. and I notice the cutie butterfly. I remember back then, I have once a wall paper on my phone that looked liked this. Honestly, I felt so relaxed with your picturesque views. Have a great day my friend and I hope you are well.

Thank you and yes, it is always a lovely adventure to stroll around on the farms. So you had a Painted Lady butterfly on the wall paper on your phone? They are indeed real cuties.
Hope that you are also well.

Oh those sunflowers! I just love them and they are only too happy to show you their bright faces. Against the backdrop of those mountains, I can imagine they are as happy as they are beautiful!

I am sorry that you're having so many blackouts, but am thankful to you and your wife for getting out and providing us with these beautiful shots. Your wife is just wanting to keep you in good shape, that's why she has you carry those acorn bags lol! !LUV

Oh yes, the sunflowers are so happy and if there were no birds in them, one would think that it was the sunflowers that were singing :)

My wife was still busy filling those bags with nuts and acorns. You will be surprised at how heavy they can get when they are full and so I help with the carrying back to our car.
But noted, as she does indeed care very much for me, and it's likewise.

Those brats back home are adorable. As for your sunflowers - my favourite. I love that third shot with the butterfly. How perfect. So now I can edit my previous comment to include SUNFLOWERS!

Ha! Just tonight our neighbor was complaining about them planting nuts in her garden !LOLZ
Glad that you liked the third shot, as it was a third time lucky shot. Those painted ladies are very finicky, and they simply disappear at the slightest movement.
Yep! You can certainly do that.
