Wildfires raging here. Day 2.

The firemen worked through the night fighting the fire.

This is the next morning and you can see the damages here at the mountains.

The fear is that the fire will cross the mountains and run into the winelands at the other side of the mountains. The vines are old and top quality, producing world class wines and a fire can destroy very expensive lands.
The bad thing is that another fire is also raging at the same time on the Table mountain in the city, so the fire fighting forces are fighting two different fires that are miles apart.
Planes and Helicopters are up firebombing and we can only hope for the best.

As you can see, the fire entered the forested areas of the mountains and it is extremely difficult to douse an exploding tree. So multiply that by a 100 trees burning at the same time and you will see what I mean.

Now just think how difficult it is dousing 1000+ trees, exploding and spreading flaming sparks in all directions that start new fires wherever they land. I feel for the brave firemen that work day and night to control the fires. The good news is that they are all well trained and experts dealing with the hot spots.
This was day 2 yesterday and tomorrow I will show you day 3 that I filmed today.
