Another year, same journey!

Starting the year on the blockchain the same way I did it last year: with a Leofinance post. I'm far more a consumer than a contributor of the community, but it's the beggining of the year: time to make a balance of what happened in 2021, and what's my aim for 2022! And since it's the first day of the year... time for some power up too!

Last year I acomplished a huge milestone for me here:

Dolphinhood!!

I was already pretty close when I started the year, but felt great when I received the notification making it official.

I started the year with 4700 HP, and defined some objectives, that weren't entirely met. Today, I powered up a little more to make my HP a round number...

... and this was how my evolution went in this crazy year:

Failed short on my HP objectives, achieved and surpassed some of the others. I can think of a number of reasons of why didn't I reached those 8000 HP, with so many thing going on, both in the blockchain and in life in general. But this year, in line with some of my readings throughout the year about productivity, and completely agreeing with a recent post from a known and wise author here, time for something different.

Focusing on the strategy, not on the goals

Not that I don't have goals, but I won't be posting them here. Because more important that saying "this year I want to reach xxx HP and xxx on this token", is how do I want to reach them. Focusing on the steps to increase my HP for instance, such as the comments, the posting, the powerups, will probably help me stay a lot more focused than just eyeing a random number at the end of the road.

And what will those steps be, exactly?

Well... I'm a procrastinator! :) So, still a work in progress. But two of them are already defined:

• Make at least 35 comments a week

That makes 5 comments a day. I noticed my interaction was way lower this year than what it used to be, and focusing and taking time for it specifically will help me get back on track.

• Posting at least 3 times a week

With less time to post (and giving in to lazyness too), long were the days where I would post almost everyday. In some weeks I only did my usual Splinterlands giveaway and nothing more. I will continue to share the love and give away cards weekly, but will try to get back to my wildlife and photography posts more often, along with the unusual ramblings.

Being a little more consistent in my posting and interacting habits will be my goals for 2022; starting from there... let's see how/ if it will translate to growth! Regardless of the result, sticking to those goals will be a win for sure.

• Improving my Splinterlands collection

Splinterlands was already one of my favourite activities on the blockchain, but the more evolution the game has, the more I like playing! I'm constantly trying to improve my cards deck, and this year won't be any different. It's the perfect example of having fun while investing!
