Pink booties and friends

Hectic days are making me post and interact way less that I would want but hey, that's life! Fortunately, browsing this community I saw a great incentive: for this week's SMAP, we have a fun theme: booties!! (well, the correct theme is bum/bottom... but you get the idea!) A perfect theme to get back to posting here, so here you go, and in pink:

^{Greater flamingo - Phoenicopterus roseus}

Flamingos were one of the species I was fortunate to find in pretty decent numbers in my last vacations. I was able to spend quite some time taking photos, in all possible angles, so some booty shots ended up happening naturally!

Not that it is that hard to see these creatures's booties when they're feeding, since more often than not they'll have their head underwater, so there's more incentive to focus on other body parts. And they actually look funny on their feeding poses!

But let's not let our pink friends steal all the show, because I have more booty photos. Such as this one, in darker tones:

This one was spotted in an urban park, somewhere in Budapest. They're normally less shy than this, but this one definitely didn't wanted to pose for the camera. At least I was able to capture the full bird... which was not the case in this next booty.

Talking about an escaping bum, right?! I didn't even put the identification, since it's impossible to tell by this photo, but if my memory doesn't fail me this is a great crested grebe; well, part of it, at least! Do love the water reflexes on this one, though.

No, this is not the rare one headed-double bootied mutant swan! 😁 I took the photo in the exact moment one of the cute swan couple member decided to dive their hear underwater. The result? One neck and head... but two booties!
