The Blessings of Every Season LOH-#292

Here is another wonderful week to share our thoughts and experiences.
Generally, life happens in seasons, which means that every season plays an important role in both growth and development. For me, i will not choose one season over another because all seasons are worth living.
In Nigeria, we have two major seasons, which are the rainy season and the dry season, the dry season, which is accompanied by harmattan. As a farmer, every season is equally important, so I wouldn't pray for one at the expense of the other.
Rainy season is very essential for agriculture because it supports both plant and animal production. The rainy season helps to support plant growth, maintain soil fertility, and boost productivity, thus bringing about good harvest. This season also helps to regulate soil temperature, which is one of the important factors that aids crop yield.
The rainy season is also important for animal production because reproduction in animals records a high production rate during the rainy season. During this season, there is availability of pastures and forages for the animals to feed on .
one may ask how the dry season is beneficial in agriculture. For crop production the dry season is the time for harvesting, drying, and storing of farm produce.While For animals production it is the season where animals have freedom of movement, its also a season of reduced breakout of diseases while producing more management practices for healthier animals.
Both seasons are important for livestock and crop production because they contribute to food security and agricultural sustainability.
Personally, although both seasons comes with their advantage and disadvantages, i prefer the dry because it makes movement easier and improves job efficiency. On this very rainy day, i still had to go to work to ensure that my animals were well fed and taken care of. In any case, i appreciate and cherish the unique benefits that each seaon brings.
